30th September 2026 Good afternoon! I hope you are all well. Although our schools share the Peponi name and values, we rarely have the opportunity to come together to celebrate our wider school community. With this in mind, I am delighted to introduce an exciting new pupil-led initiative, Peponi Unfiltered, which will take place on Saturday, 24th October, from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm in the Courtney Hall at Peponi House. Peponi Unfiltered aims to bring our school community together through meaningful conversations, shared experiences and a celebration of the diversity that makes Peponi such a special place. Our inaugural event will feature a talk show with a panel of speakers, including African 100m record holder Ferdinand Omanyala, alongside Baraka Kahugu and Dorcas Kiundu, Peponi School's Head of School and Head Girl, respectively. The theme of our first event is Representation. Representation is about who is seen, heard, understood and given a voice within a community. At a school whose motto is "A School of Many Nations, a Family of One", this is particularly important. Our diversity extends far beyond nationality to include our cultures, identities, experiences, beliefs, backgrounds and perspectives. We have deliberately chosen a broad theme, recognising that representation means something different to everyone. We hope that this will encourage an open and engaging discussion, allowing us to explore different perspectives and better understand the experiences of others within our community. An invitation to parents We would be delighted to welcome a parent to join our panel of speakers. If you feel that you could contribute to this discussion, please contact us by email or complete the following Google Form. Our charity initiative As part of Peponi Unfiltered, we are also raising funds to support the construction of a sand dam in rural Kenya in partnership with the Sukuma Twende Trust. This project aims to improve access to water for local communities, and we would be most grateful for any contributions towards this worthwhile cause. We would also welcome sponsorship from parents and businesses wishing to support the event. In recognition of your generosity, we would be pleased to promote your businesses through our event platform and social media channels.
Craft fair Alongside the talk show, we will be hosting a craft fair, offering parents and businesses the opportunity to showcase and sell a variety of products, including food, clothing, household items and more. Each stall will be provided with a table and two chairs, with a vendor fee of KSh 3,000. Proceeds from the vendor fees will contribute towards our charity initiative. This will be an excellent opportunity to engage with the wider Peponi community, support local businesses and contribute to what promises to be an enjoyable afternoon. If you are interested in joining our panel, sponsoring the event, hosting a stall or supporting our charity project, please contact us at unfiltered@peponischool.org. You can also follow us on Instagram @unfiltered_peponi. Thank you for your continued support. We very much hope that you will join us for what promises to be an enjoyable and thought-provoking occasion. Kind regards, Ruhan Dhruv Shah Upper V, Peponi School. Cc: Headmaster
