Term 1 Activities September 2026 All activities start on Monday 7th September 2026 Welcome Back to Peponi House We are delighted to welcome you back to Peponi House and are excited for another vibrant and engaging term ahead. We look forward to seeing pupils reconnect, explore new opportunities and make the most of everything on offer. This term, we have updated the naming of our co-curricular provision to improve clarity and communication. Activities will now be grouped as Bumblebees Activities and Peponi House Clubs. Peponi House Clubs are run internally by our teaching staff and offer a wide range of opportunities across sport, music, creative arts, and academic enrichment. Peponi Bumblebees sign‑up is now open, with both Bumblebees activities and Peponi House Clubs beginning on Monday 7th September. Pupils will sign up for Peponi House Clubs during the first week back. We encourage all pupils to get involved, try something new, and pursue their interests. A reminder for parents: while participation in activities is encouraged, it is essential that children also have time for free, unstructured play each day. A healthy balance between scheduled activities and downtime supports wellbeing, independence, and creativity. For pupils in Years 7 and 8, Monday cricket and football practices remain an important commitment for those selected in Teams A, B, and C. Scholars are also expected to attend their timetabled scholarship sessions as a core part of the enrichment programme. For Year 7 pupils who have been taking part in the scholarship programme last term, the Academic Committee will confirm their place midway through Term 1. Pupils invited to specialised groups, such as Orchestra, Swim Squad, Battle of the Bands, or Touch Typing, should prioritise attendance, as these sessions play a key role in both individual progress and group success. If your child is interested in joining Scouts, please contact Isaac Nyauma directly at iyn@peponihouse.sc.ke for further details. Please note that lunchtime activities will only run where there is sufficient interest (minimum of five pupils), and places are capped at 24 per activity. Where sessions are oversubscribed, pupils who miss out will be given priority in the following term. We hope all pupils will take full advantage of the opportunities available and enjoy a rich and rewarding co-curricular experience at Peponi House.
