Register by Nov. 27 and save $20 off the league registration!

2012-2013

Sports - Youth Registration Deadline Dec. 4

Machine Pitch Baseball

Enrollment is based on a child’s age as of Jan. 19. Following the deadline registrants will be placed on waitlist for their specific sport. No special requests accepted after the deadline. Regular season runs Jan. 19 to March 9. Practices begin the week of Jan. 7 at park and school sites. Practice days and locations are selected by volunteer coaches. Teams are formed based on known criteria such as closest public school, player or coach requests. Requests cannot be guaranteed — accommodations will be made when possible to do so.

Volunteer coaches instruct participants on the basics of hitting, throwing and catching. Machine pitch provides a consistent experience for all children to improve hitting and fielding skills. Suitable for boys and girls looking to improve baseball or softball skills.

Coaches and Parents Information

Experienced coaches will lead your child through a comprehensive running program, from warm-up to cool down and everything in between. Participants train Tues. and Thur. evenings for 8 weeks and compete in three timed events on Sat. (Feb. 2, Feb. 23 and March 9).

They need you - Volunteer Coaches needed! Help us serve the children in our community. Volunteer coaches are needed for basketball, volleyball, and machine pitch baseball. All coaches participate in a coaching education and certification program through the City of Peoria. All coaches must be fingerprinted and a background check performed before a coaching assignment is made. Coaches Pre-Certification and Fingerprinting: Nov. 20, 2 p.m. - 7 p.m., Development and Community Services Bldg., 9875 N. 85th Ave. Mandatory for any coach not certified during the fall 2012 season.
