FALL 2020

As we complete the Third Quarter of 2020, your Credit Union’s performance continues to be strong and we have been able to increase our liquidity and net worth to help weather any uncertain times ahead. Our new strategic planning process has been built to allow us to be more flexible and responsive to changes in local, national, and global environments. This will allow us to adjust our priorities and focus more quickly based on those changes.

Locations

Although we continue to be impacted by COVID19, your team at People’s Credit Union has been not just managing through the pandemic but more importantly looking beyond it to prioritize how we can continue to improve your experience. Current initiatives include, expanding the drive-up capabilities at several branches, rebuilding our website, launching a data analytics initiative, and replacing all our ATMs by March 2021. In addition, as we plan for 2021, we will also be improving the mobile banking and consumer lending experiences.

Our enhanced fraud monitoring and notification system is designed to give you an added level of security and protection when using your debit card. You may receive emails, calls and texts regarding what appear to be suspicious transactions: 1. You will first receive an email from the address noreply@enfactnotifcations.com alerting you to the suspicious transaction with instructions on how to confirm the validity of the transaction. Please call the telephone number provided in the email, enter the Case Identification Number when prompted, and then answer the subsequent prompts as applicable.

2. If you do not respond to the email, within minutes you will receive a follow-up text message from the number 877.272.5740. If it is a Text (SMS) message the number will be displayed as 37268. Please reply “Yes” if the transaction was valid and “No” if you do not recognize it. 3. If you do not reply to the text, our fraud monitoring system will call the phone number we have on file for your card. The phone number calling you will be 844.682.4502. You will then be directed to confirm or deny the validity of the transaction.

Expanding our drive-up capacity We are pleased to announce that we will be expanding our drive-up capacity at our Newport and Middletown branches. Both branches have seen a significant increase in drive-up transactions. In Newport, we will be converting the drive through ATM lane into a drive-up service lane. To do that we will be removing the drive-up ATM. The Walk-up ATM in the front of the building will remain in place.

In Middletown, there is an available drive through lane that will be outfitted with a new pneumatic tube system, similar to the other lanes. We expect both projects to be completed before the end of the year.

New Website Coming Soon! We are very excited to announce that shortly we will be bringing our members a brand new website. In addition to being more reflective of our brand, the new website will have a more contemporary, fresher face and improved functionality. The new website also aims to better educate members on our products and services and provide useful tools to help our members more easily find the information and answers they are looking for.

Surveys: an Invitation to Participate As we mentioned in our Summer Newsletter, we have been inviting our members to participate in surveys to get authentic feedback on their banking experiences. We are focused on providing the best solutions for our members and surveys are one way which will help give us actionable insights on how we can improve our member experience. We will never ask for your account number, passwords, or any other nonpublic personal information.
