Reflecting on a year of impact

As we close out Fiscal Year 2025, Pensacola Habitat for Humanity stands stronger than ever a testament to the extraordinary work of our staff, board, volunteers, partners, and supporters Together, we are not just building homes we are building a Northwest Florida where opportunity, equity, and dignity are within reach for more families

This year, 53 families became first-time homeowners through our programs each stepping into a safe, affordable, and permanently attainable home That figure brings our organizational total to over 1,700 homes built since our founding

In a particularly competitive funding year, Pensacola Habitat was awarded over $4 million through Florida’s Community Contribution Tax Credit Program (CCTCP) nearly triple our original allocation capturing surplus availability and redirecting private-sector capital into high-impact community development

We also launched the Northwest Florida Community Land Trust, a critical step towards preserving affordability for future generations The first homes in the CLT will soon be occupied by new homeowners, marking a major milestone in our strategy to ensure long-term access to affordable housing across our region.

In partnership with Escambia County, we implemented a new down payment assistance initiative, combining local public dollars with our housing models to lower monthly mortgage costs and increase accessibility for low-income buyers

Our volunteers contributed more than 27,000 service hours across construction sites, the ReStore, and community events This included community-driven projects like Pride Build, Women Build, and Faith Build, each activating civic groups, congregations, and individuals around the shared belief that everyone deserves a decent place to live.

Pensacola Habitat’s work received broad recognition this year, with multiple awards celebrating our impact as a leading voice and builder for affordable housing We were honored by local chambers, civic organizations, and statewide partners who understand that housing is the foundation of a strong and resilient community

As we look ahead to Fiscal Year 2026, we do so with momentum, clarity of mission, and deep gratitude. The need for affordable homeownership remains great but so is our resolve. Thank you for continuing to build with us in hope, in purpose, and in community.
