WHO WE ARE OUR STORY Founded in 2015, Penny & Pound Theatre is a registered not-for profit, Ontariobased touring performing arts company aimed at enriching the lives of the community through affordable, quality entertainment and accessible performing arts education and experience. Over the course of each MainStage season, Penny & Pound Theatre travels from Cambridge and Kitchener-Waterloo, to Guelph, to Brant County, bringing along fabulous, full-scale theatrical productions cast entirely with local artists. Penny & Pound also offers an array of performing arts classes and workshops for artists of all ages! At Penny & Pound there is something for everyone!

MEET THE CAST Zachary Larsen as Chase Osborne

PENNY & POUND: Tom in The Great Gatsby, Michael in Hello Love, The Hatter in Curiouser, Jack Kelly in Newsies, The Class Clown in Godspell, Josef in Little Heaven, Roger in Grease, Tony in You Can’t Take It with You. | Zachary Larsen (he/him) is a multidisciplinary performer and comedian who has been working closely with Penny & Pound Theatre since 2017, playing various whiny white boys.

Matt Lindow as Louis Mudge PENNY & POUND: John Brooke in Little Women, Lennie in Hello Love, Caterpillar in Curiouser, Ghost of Christmas Present in Miss Scrooge. | After a stint away in Alberta, Matt is grateful to be back with his old troupe, performing this hilarious comedy!

Melissa Ruegg as Lillian Jones PENNY & POUND: Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest, Midge in Hello Love, Temperance in The Return, Mila in Little Heaven, Marmee in Little Women, The Teacher’s Pet in Godspell. | Melissa Ruegg has been involved with Penny & Pound since 2020, taking on various roles from playwright to choreographer. Recently, her adaptation of The Great Gatsby was performed as part of P&P’s 2025/2026 season.

Arthur G. Brook as Ambrose Grieves PENNY & POUND: Charles Dodgson in Curiouser, The Peddler in Little Heaven, Fred in Miss Scrooge, The Teacher in Godspell, Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd (cancelled due to COVID-19), Laurie in Little Women. | Arthur G. Brook is a graduate of Seneca College’s Acting for Film and Voice Program (2019). He currently works for Theatricks and Dufflebag Theatre.

Ariel Diamond as Maud Mudge PENNY & POUND: Julia Bell in Avonlea, Sybil in White Plague, Tillie Klimek in Bloody Good, Janice in Hello Love, Curiouser | Ariel Diamond has been acting in various capacities for years, notably playing roles in The Diary of Anne Frank, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hamlet and A Christmas Carol. Ariel currently serves as Head of Wardrobe for Penny & Pound Theatre.

Zoe Faulkner as Mina Mudge PENNY & POUND: Meg March in Little Women, Johanna in Sweeney Todd, The Cheerleader in Godspell, Maestro’s Wife in Little Heaven, Angelina Napolitano in Bloody Good, Oliver! | Zoe is a Year 2 student at University of Guelph. Previous credits include Donna in Mamma Mia!, Sharpay in High School Musical and Buddy in Elf. In September, Zoe will be leading the cast of Penny & Pound’s Mean Girls as Cady Heron.

Christian Chitiyo as Harlan P. Cory PENNY & POUND: Debut! | Originally from Omaha, Nebraska (not Maine!), Christian is a student at University of Waterloo. Previous credits include roles in Grease, Singing in the Rain, Shrek and Little Shop of Horrors. In the next few months, Christian will be performing as Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden in Next to Normal (SJU Musicals) and Aaron Samuels in Mean Girls (Penny & Pound.)

Tyler Hergott as Bill Noyes/Dance Captain PENNY & POUND: Fred/Dance Captain in Avonlea, Burke Harley in White Plague, Laurie in Little Women, Eugene in Hello Love. | An interdisciplinary professional dancer and choreographer, Tyler is relatively new to the world of theatre, but found his love for the craft while performing in Distel & Distel’s Hello, Love. Tyler has placed Silver and Bronze at International Levels in various Tap championships. He currently teaches dance in Hamilton and the GTA, and serves as one of Penny & Pound’s resident choreographers.

Ashley Rye as Baby Noyes/Saloon Girl PENNY & POUND: Featured Dancer in Curiouser, The Flower Child in Godspell. | Ashley is a theatre student at Brock University. Previous performance credits include The Hobbit, SpongeBob the Musical, All Together Now! and more. She would like to thank her family for their unwavering support in her decision to pursue the performing arts.

Shelby Goncalves as Etta Leigh Moon/Vocal Captain PENNY & POUND: Winifred in White Plague, Mary in Hello Love, Present in Miss Scrooge, Rosa in Little Heaven, Bird Seller in Sweeney Todd. | Shelby joined Penny & Pound Theatre due to a coin-toss back in 2024, and has been with them ever since. She currently serves as Secretary on their Board of Directors. Love to everyone except Joshua Perry Fleming.

William Cooper as Little Fabrizio PENNY & POUND: Victim A in Bloody Good, Young Eugene as Hello Love, Young Charles in Curiouser. | William Cooper is a 16-year-old student in Eastwood Collegiate Institute’s Integrated Arts Program. Previous credits include Ben in Descendants (Kat Studios) and various school productions.

Cameron Samson as Norman Briggs PENNY & POUND: Callaghan in White Plague, Knox in Hello Love, Judas in Godspell, Marcel in The Return, Oliver!, Newsies | Cam (he/him) is super excited to be playing a depressed, gay banker who everyone always listens to and has the best ideas! Cam has been with P&P since 2023, and is excited for people to see the dumbest show he’s ever had the absolute pleasure of being in. When he’s not acting, Cam loves to

Bethany Bair as Bess McCleod PENNY & POUND: Jordan in The Great Gatsby. | Bethany Bair is an emerging playwright and performer who is excited to return to the Penny & Pound stage. Fuelled by a deep love of the arts since childhood, she finds joy in exploring the boundless possibilities of storytelling.

Sarah Kelly as Nell McCleod PENNY & POUND: Debut! | Sarah is a student at the University of Waterloo, and is thrilled to be making her Penny & Pound debut in this hilarious new musical! Past credits include Meg in Little Women (Corey Agnew Acting Studio), Spring Awakening (KWMP), Lysandra in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (UW Theatre). Sarah has also been a member of Pop Nation (formerly KW Glee) for the past seven years.

Peter Tudisco as Drunk Larry PENNY & POUND: Mr. Harrison in Avonlea, The Guardian in White Plague, Father in Little Women, Victim C in Bloody Good, Captain Walker in Hello Love, Cheshire Cat/Mock Turtle in Curiouser, Grumps in Miss Scrooge, Sid in Head in the Game, Rabbi Kowalski in Little Heaven. | Peter currently serves as President of Penny & Pound Theatre. Coming up, he will be performing in Head in the Game, Annie and the Canadian premiere of Harmony.

Shawn O’Hallohran as Pat Green PENNY & POUND: Debut! | Shawn is thrilled to be making his Penny & Pound debut in Black Sheep! Previous credits include Cahusac in The Three Musketeers (ECT), Robert in The Play That Goes Wrong, Uncle Fester in The Addams Family, Boy in Lost Girl (John F. Ross). Shawn returns to the Elora Community Theatre stage as Romeo in their upcoming outdoor production of Romeo and Juliet!

Jack French as Mr. Hansen/Dogman PENNY & POUND: Debut! | Jack French is no stranger to the local theatre scene. Previous credits include The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) with Guelph Little Theatre, The Little Mermaid with RCMPI, Little Shop of Horrors with University of Guelph and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with Bluelight Theatre Ensemble. Jack is a student at University of Guelph in the Theatre Studies program.

Liam Kingsbury as Dream Chase/Spud PENNY & POUND: Mr. Phillips in Avonlea, Red McIntyre in White Plague, Jack Worthing in The Importance of Being Earnest. | An athlete-turned-actor, Liam Kingsbury is a student at University of Guelph, currently majoring in Theatre Studies. Other credits include Merry Men Live! (Theatre Unmade), Urinetown and The Play That Goes Wrong (John F. Ross)

Natalia Rhodes as The Damsel/Saloon Girl PENNY & POUND: Featured Dancer in Avonlea, Margaret in White Plague, The Great Gatsby, Curiouser, Violet in Head in the Game. | Natalia Rhodes is a multdisciplinary Indigenous performer with training in both stage and screen acting, modelling and multiple dance disciplines. With a passion for storytelling and a love of expression through art, she has found a home in the local theatre scene.

Martin Smith as Reverend Mudge/Little Eddie PENNY & POUND: Debut! | Martin Smith found himself as part of Penny & Pound following a karaoke night at Blaze and Bourbon, where he was ‘scouted’ by P&P president Peter Tudisco. Now he’s proud to be part of the gang!

Anna Carter as Mama Mudge/Assisted Su PENNY & POUND: Miss Lavender in Avonlea, Nurse Phillips in White Plague, Madame LaLaurie in Bloody Good, Lorina Liddell in Curiouser, Jackie Slacks in Head in the Game, Little Heaven. | Anna has been in a lot of Penny & Pound original show, but this is by far the silliest. So much love and light with this incredible cast and crew, as well as her wonderful family.

Jennifer Soule as Mrs. Dingleheimer/Ensemble PENNY & POUND: Debut! | Jennifer’s favourite hobby is playing make-believe with adults in a church basement. She’s excellent at pretending to be drunk and knows a little German (which is the reason she got this role.) Danke Lyndsay und Alex fur den Deutschunterricht. This is her P&P debut and she’d like to thank everyone involved for supporting her favourite hobby.

Jacob Kowalchyk as Death Bringer/Ensemble PENNY & POUND: Luke in The Haunting of Hill House, Victim B in Bloody Good, Eaglet/Others in Curiouser, Mike in Newsies, Sweeney Todd. | Jacob is an 18year-old student ready to head off to his first year of University! Previous credits outside of Penny & Pound include Tin Man in The Wizard of OZ and Jack Kelly in Newsies (ActOut KW).

Callum Kingsbury as Gator/Ensemble PENNY & POUND: Debut! | Callum was bullied into auditioning for Penny & Pound by his older brother, Liam... and he is so grateful. He’d like to thank the cast and creative team for their patience, encouragement, and for not letting him accidentally exit through the wrong door too often. Callum hopes you enjoy the show as much as he’s enjoyed being part of it! Catch him on stage again in Penny & Pound’s upcoming production of Annie.

Tish Bagley as Ensemble PENNY & POUND: Mrs. Donnell in Avonlea, Maestra Gordon in White Plague, Amy Gilligan in Bloody Good, Mrs. Fezziwig/Anne in A Christmas Carol, Miss Scrooge, Little Heaven, Curiouser. | Tish has been an active member of Penny & Pound since 2023, serving as Head of Wardrobe and Front of House for various productions. She’s excited to once again be sharing the stage with her daughter Juliet.

Juliet Bagley as Ensemble PENNY & POUND: Avonlea, Effie in White Plague, Juliet Hulme in Bloody Good, Fan in A Christmas Carol, Sasha in Little Heaven, Maybelle in The Return, Curiouser, Miss Scrooge, Newsies. | Lovingly known by her Penny & Pound family as ‘Peanut,’ Juliet is a Grade 10 student at Monsignor Doyle in Cambridge. She is thrilled to once again be joining Penny & Pound for a ‘New Works Series’ production.

Aida Becker as Ensemble PENNY & POUND: Molly in Avonlea, Celia in Hello Love, Pauline Parker in Bloody Good, Les in Newsies, Lobster/Others in Curiouser. | Aida is a Grade 10 student from Cambridge who enjoys musicals (and can recite the Hamilton and Six soundtracks from memory!) Aida made her P&P debut in The Triple Threat Program, and has starred in a number of productions since. Recently, she served as Assistant Director for Penny & Pound’s production of White Plague.

Theo Banman as Ensemble PENNY & POUND: Guilia Tofana in Bloody Good, Aubrey in Hello Love, Young Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, Rowena in The Return, Curiouser, Newsies, Oliver!, Clue: On Stage, Miss Scrooge. | Theo Banman is a nonbinary and physically disabled actor and writer from Cambridge, Ontario. They identify as a threat and nightmare, and love reading, coffee and plants.

Liv Gray as Ensemble PENNY & POUND: Phillipa in Avonlea, Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest. | Liv is thrilled to once again be returning to Penny & Pound, having made their debut in February! Other credits include Ira Wells in Dracula, Mrs. Pye in Anne of Green Gables: The Musical, Karen in Rehearsal for Murder and Ellen in Five Alarm. Enjoy the show!

Emmah Hopkins as Ensemble PENNY & POUND: Avonlea, The Great Gatsby. | Emmah made her stage debut in Penny & Pound’s The Great Gatsby, and is thrilled to be sharing the stage with so many friends— old and new! In the coming months, Emmah will be starring in Penny & Pound’s productions of Mean Girls and Annie.

THEATRE EDUCATION TRIPLE THREAT PROGRAMS | GRADE 4-12

Our Triple Threat programs train young performers in singing, dancing, and acting, helping them build skills, confidence, and stage presence. Through weekly classes and mentorship from industry professionals, students grow as well-rounded artists in a supportive, creative environment. Each program culminates in a full-scale production, giving every participant the chance to shine in a professional-quality show that showcases their hard work and talent.

DROP-IN DRAMA | GRADE 9-12

A fun, no-pressure theatre program where participants can drop in, explore drama games, build confidence, and express their creativity—no experience or commitment required.

THE LITTLE COMPANY | AGE 6-8

Welcome to Penny & Pound’s Little Company — a playful, beginner-friendly program for ages 6–8! Through drama games, music, movement, and storytelling, young performers explore the fundamentals of theatre in a fun, supportive space. Students build confidence, creativity, and teamwork, culminating in a short showcase for family and friends. No experience needed — just imagination, curiosity, and the courage to shine on stage!
