Better Together

When you choose PennWest University, your transfer will be seamless and your goals will be a priority.

With more than 100 programs to choose from and relevant extracurricular activities, you’ll find your major and your future in one place. We accept credits from accredited two-year and four-year institutions, AP, CLEP/DSST, IB, Joint Service Transcripts and ACE.

Getting Started

You’ve come to the right place. Now you just have to get started. Our simple application procedures help take the complexity out of the admission process.

First, before you begin your application, reach out to receive an application fee waiver at admissions@pennwest.edu. We are happy to help you save a few bucks. Then, you can start your application at PennWest.edu/apply. One great benefit is that we offer a rolling deadline for admission. This means you do not wait until a certain date to apply and be notified of your admission to one of our campuses. Note that some programs may have specific deadline requirements, and it’s best to check with Admissions to be certain.

Once you’ve submitted your application, you will need to request your official college transcripts be sent by email to admissions@pennwest.edu or by mail to: Office of Admissions, 250 University Avenue, California, PA 15419. A 2.0 GPA is required to transfer to PennWest, but certain programs may have greater requirements. You may also need to submit high school transcripts or GED equivalency if you have fewer than 12 transferrable credits, or for certain majors (i.e. nursing).

After you’re admitted, we take a close look at your current credit situation with an evaluation by our Transfer Admissions experts which will help you understand how quickly you will complete your degree with us.

Once You’re Accepted

When you are ready to confirm your enrollment at PennWest, you will just need to submit the $100 Advanced Tuition Deposit to take the next steps for enrollment.

Once you’ve paid your deposit, your courses will be scheduled for you. Also, you will want to consider the following:

• Beginning the scholarship and financial aid processes: PennWest.edu/tuition-and-aid

• Reaching out to the Office of Student Outreach and Success for all the tools to help you succeed: studentsuccess@pennwest.edu
