Getting Started
Reach out to us directly to receive an application fee waiver.

Before you begin your transfer, please note that PennWest offers a rolling deadline for admission, but your program of choice may have specific deadline requirements, and it’s best to check with Admissions to be certain. Start your transfer by filling out an online application at PennWest.edu and click on the Apply button.

In order to apply, you will need to request your college transcripts and submit to admissions@pennwest.edu. A 2.0 GPA is required to transfer to PennWest, but certain programs may have greater requirements. You may also need to submit high school transcripts or GED equivalency if you have fewer than 12 transferrable credits, or for certain majors (i.e. Nursing).
When you apply, we take a close look at your current credit situation with a formal evaluation by our Transfer Admissions experts.
It is important to note that your previous life experience could put you a few steps closer to the future you really want. Our Prior Learning Assessment looks at experiences like employment, military experience and independent industry-recognized certifications to find opportunities to turn that experience into actual college credits. Because you’re serious about PennWest, start applying for financial aid.

Once You’re Accepted

Military Preference
PennWest prides itself on being Military Friendly and we want to make certain your past service is honored here. Your military experience can yield Prior Learning Credits because we review your Joint Service Transcript if you are/were in the Army, Navy or Marines, and your CCAF transcript if Air Force.

By being former military, you will increase your eligibility for certain scholarships, earn tuition discounts, and have access to our Military and Veterans Affairs Office, which specializes in helping former military transition to academic life.

Discover how being a former member of the military can benefit your PennWest experience by contacting:
