Hilltop Suites

Two Residence Hall Suites – Valley View Suites on Wood Street and Campus View Suites on Ralston Flats – offer spacious units designed to house two or four students with a shared common living space. Each building is centrally located on campus.

• In addition, each floor has a TV/study lounge

• Each building has its own kitchen, laundry facility and vending machines on the first floor

Located close to Clarion’s downtown community means restaurants, boutiques and banks are all within walking distance. Suites on Main boasts high-end amenities not normally found in residence halls, ensuring that you’ll be comfortable while you get a great education.

PennWest ClarionVenango Campus

Our Venango campus is situated on 65 acres of wooded hillside overlooking the Allegheny River in Oil City. Venango offers a welcoming, small-town setting for students, with a variety of local restaurants, shops, bike trails, outdoor activities and more.

• Two-and three-story buildings with two apartments on each floor

• Each apartment houses up to four students

• Students enjoy a private bedroom and a semi-private bathroom

• Students share common kitchen, laundry facilities, and living and dining areas

• The Michael F. and Joyce I. Hughes Hall features a community center where students of all buildings can gather for studying or socializing

Our competitive sports clubs are run by students. The clubs compete against off-campus rivals in a wide variety of sports. Intramural and Extramural Sports

Intramural sports offer structured contests, tournaments, and leagues for members of campus. Extramural sports are campus rec sponsored tournaments that allow the campus champions the opportunity to compete with other universities.

The Student Recreation Center (SRC)

Our facility provides endless fitness and recreational opportunities, offering three multi-purpose courts, a four-lane running/walking track, a climbing wall, a stretching area, a cardiovascular area, and a weight room.

Clarion Athletics

We’re not one to toot our own horn, but with 90+ conference championships since 1963, well, toot-toot.

The Clarion Golden Eagles’ 16 varsity teams compete in NCAA Division I & II. And our success isn’t just on the field; more than half our athletes are scholar-athletes. That means they have a 3.2 GPA or higher toot-toot.
