● A+ Academics: You need to make sure you pick a school that offers strong academic programs in high demand fields. ● Campus Life Counts: Mom and Dad might want you to spend all your time studying, but it’s important to find a campus and community that gives you plenty to do outside the classroom. That can mean donning your school’s colors on the playing field or just finding activities and meeting new people. ● Support the Student: For most students, college is the first extended time away from home. Find a place that provides plenty of services and support that focus on the entire person, not just the part that’s a student. ● Dollars and Sense: Scholarships and financial aid packages can make a huge difference in affordability.

Make sure you fully investigate what opportunities each school offers its students. ● V is for Value: Even with strong financial support, your school should provide value in and outside the classroom — and before and after graduation. ● J-O-B: Going to college is a life-defining experience, however most people attend to enhance their job prospects. Your college should know that and do everything it can to ensure students land a job using the skills they acquired.
