Based in the UK, Norfolk Interiors was formed over 30 years ago as a skilled and dedicated team of artisans.

From our foundations, we’ve built a reputation for world-class joinery and an impressive portfolio of work. Our team has grown and specialised, meaning that we have the breadth of skills to deliver everything from custom furniture to full turnkey interiors.

As part of the Pendennis family, we share a people-first approach and passion for perfection. We are experts in superyacht interiors and have a wealth of experience in creating high-end pieces for private residences. From our 20,000 sq ft workshop in Fakenham, we work with clients all over the world.

For us, there’s nothing as rewarding as making the impossible possible. Our team is united by a delight in bringing challenging creative visions to life. Working by hand, combining traditional craft with

technical excellence, we take pride in delivering perfection, every time.

From delicate artisan finishes to water check exterior dovetails, we’re meticulous about every element of a project. We seek the highest quality materials, pay close attention to each unique environment, and constantly trial new methods to find innovative, sustainable solutions.

Our work is created by hand, by real people, right here in the UK. Behind Norfolk Interiors, you’ll find a collective of craftspeople and coordinators, from project managers to expert cabinet makers. We’re also investing in long-term futures; through our leading apprenticeship scheme, we’re busy training the next generation of artisans.

Bespoke services and expertise

Yacht interiors

This is where our craft comes to life. We have deep-rooted experience in all aspects of luxury yacht interiors, from full interior fitouts to individual furniture pieces. Our client list includes leading yacht designers and shipyards, with projects spanning motor yachts, sailing yachts and classic restorations.

We’ve built a reputation for exceptional furniture and finishes, crafted with consideration for the practicalities of life on a yacht. Our specialist expertise means we naturally anticipate the challenges of a marine environment, from changes in temperature and humidity to functionality and form. We are able to interpret the design intent, crafting it into beautiful spaces that meet the highest of functional standards.

Our team combines traditional skills with modern materials and techniques to create interiors that are truly unique. Every piece is handcrafted, featuring carefully selected materials. We use our specialist knowledge of lightweight interiors to devise innovative solutions to every brief. Utilising foam or balsa core construction methodology, we meticulously engineer every screw to ensure the necessary fixing points are applied at the design stage. Projects like Hamilton II, Missy, and Galateia are a testament to our thorough approach in this field.

This custom vanity unit was crafted from high-quality modern materials, which are completely inert, to provide a beautiful but robust piece, engineered for life in a bathroom.

The unit is hand-veneered in burr maple with discrete sea-securing mechanisms to ensure everything is fully marinised.

The burr maple is complemented by antique bronze hardware and a Carrara marble top and splashback. The burr maple veneer is seamlessly matched around the entirety of the unit, carrying the distinct natural timber details across drawer fronts and around the corner post.

The unit is finished in a full grain satin lacquer and really stands out against the dark walnut interior joinery.

Residential

Whether you’re looking for an entire turnkey interior or a majestic one-off piece, we have the passion and expertise to make it shine. We’ve created bespoke solutions for a range of properties, from Edwardian townhouses and modern classical builds to luxury spas.

With an expert team of craftspeople, we’ve become the respected partner for many worldclass interior designers. Our creative intuition is underpinned by 30 years of experience, meaning that we’re able to approach every design challenge with keen understanding and fresh enthusiasm.

As well as manufacturing bespoke joinery and furniture, we’ve developed close relationships with a host of specialist suppliers, and can supply and manage a full interior service – including upholstery, timber flooring, stone, plasterwork, decorative glasswork and artistic finishes.

Norfolk Interiors was commissioned to carry out the complete refit of a London townhouse. Our team worked closely with the designers to not only engineer and build all furniture elements, but to project manage the entire refit from start to finish, overseeing the interior transformation. Every piece of highly custom furniture, whether fitted or free standing, was manufactured in our workshop and diligently installed by our on-site team.

The property’s office is wrapped in low-level cladding with fitted bookcases to match, all softened with leather upper cladding panels and inlays. The centrepiece desk features horizontal metal inserts, fluting and a detailed leather inlay. The ceiling has a raised central area to accommodate the air conditioning through a Venetian plaster fluting detail.

The master bedroom features fully fitted furniture with the bed set on a raised plinth to maximise the view from the window. The dark joinery is accented by light soft furnishings and fabric panels. The bedsides feature leather drawers, metal inlays and mother-of-pearl tops.

The basement is another world of opulent luxury, with a feature indoor pool complex, spa and changing room, cinema and pool lounge. The fitted furniture follows the project theme of dark joinery with contrasting padded fabric features and metal inlays. The furniture features special aquatic finishes and feature lighting to accentuate the design.

Freestanding furniture

Our passion for detail can be found in every piece we produce. Working by hand, led by design, we create the bespoke furniture that makes a space come alive. Together, our makers craft outstanding pieces for both yachts and luxury residences.

Each piece is designed to suit your space. The beauty of this approach lies in its flexibility. With a world of choice, we can custom build furniture that perfectly suits its surroundings. From a sumptuous day bed to an heirloom dining table and chairs, we pay careful attention so that every element fits.

And, where it counts, we can draw upon our extensive experience in yacht interiors. We’re well versed in creating lightweight pieces with the same impact as heavy luxury interiors. Our pieces are regularly shipped around the world, with specialist installers available to help if you need them.

As part of the Pendennis Group, we have a long history of collaborations on exterior yacht furniture with designs and engineering developed to stand the test of time in the most extreme conditions. Over the years, we have learnt how to manage the environmental conditions our pieces will be subjected to, whether these are Mediterranean sun, Arctic ice or Caribbean rainstorms. From water management to UV tolerance, we have it covered.

FLOWER RESIN TABLE >>

Working in close collaboration with the design team, this incredible custom table featured specialist flower art resin panels which gave an eternity of depth with the high gloss finish and jet-black backdrop. The tabletop is bordered with metal strips and edge moulding, and accented with studs, all over lacquered in an antique bronze liquid metal. Three central discs were cleverly designed into the table to obscure the

metallic divisions and provide access to the custom rise and fall pedestal foundation. The three pedestal legs are finished with a contrasting liquid metal which complements the overall design and really stands out, with the integrated pin lights hidden in the structure providing an under glow to the table.

Cutting-edge sustainability

Norfolk Interiors is committed to investing in a sustainable future through thorough research and continuous development. Sustainability is not just a concept for us—it is a responsibility that shapes every aspect of our work. We are on a journey to minimise our footprint, making conscious choices in planning, manufacturing, and delivering our projects.

We take a comprehensive, 360-degree approach to assessing our activities and their environmental impact. We are working on initiatives that focus on managing and controlling waste across our entire business. While some non-biodegradable materials remain necessary, we minimise their impact through innovative solutions, such as separate on-tool extraction systems used to separate biodegradable and toxic waste—even at the sawdust level.

Our commitment extends to sourcing the finest materials responsibly, from FSC-certified timbers and veneers to natural dyes and water-based adhesives. We harness solar energy in our workshop, manage travel efficiently, and have switched our company vehicles to battery or hybrid power. Across our entire operation, we uphold a strict in-house supplier approval. We believe that luxury is more than skin deep – it should be found in every element of a project, including its raw materials. For this reason, we source only the finest materials and use them in the most considered ways.

With sustainability as a top priority, Norfolk Interiors is the thoughtful choice for your property.
