Zest of Life
Spreading
Hope, Fuelling Wellness

Just as fruits bring nourishment to the body, our charity efforts nourish the soul, offering support, healing, and hope to those in need. This theme reflects the energy and optimism with which we approach our daily lives—infusing every act of kindness, every donation, and every outreach initiative with life and purpose.
Through fundraising, disbursements, and community outreach, we aim to bring a zestful transformation to the lives of the underprivileged, providing them with the care and resources they need to thrive.
The “Zest of Life” theme reminds us that charity is not just about giving; it’s about empowering people to regain their vitality, to grow, and to live with dignity and hope.
As we look ahead, the “Zest of Life” theme will guide our work and well-being in 2025, inspiring us to continue infusing energy, compassion, and kindness into every aspect of our charity efforts.
Together, we can cultivate a brighter future, one filled with hope, health, and the fruits of generosity.
As we celebrate the centennial milestone of Penang Adventist Hospital, we pause in gratitude and wonder at the path that has led us here—a journey woven with compassion, courage, and an unwavering commitment to serve.
For one hundred years, the Charity Services of Penang Adventist Hospital has stood as a beacon of hope for the underprivileged, embodying the values upon which this institution was founded. Every life touched, every wound healed, and every hand extended in service is a testament to our enduring mission—sharing God’s love through healing.
Yet, even as we honour the past, we recognise that our mission is far from complete.
The needs around us continue to grow. Families still struggle with the burden of medical bills. Children still await life-changing surgeries. Patients still pray for a second chance. And so, with hearts full of purpose and a legacy behind us, we press on— renewed in passion, bold in vision, and faithful to our calling.
As we look to the future, the construction of our new tower block stands as a symbol of this enduring
commitment. Designed to meet the evolving needs of our patients and community, it will expand our capacity to deliver high-quality, cutting-edge treatment while remaining grounded in our mission to serve. It represents our vision of a healthcare environment where world-class medicine is made more accessible—bridging the gap between advanced medical innovation and the everyday needs of the community we are called to care for.
The centennial is not the culmination, but a call to go further. To innovate in our giving. To partner more deeply with our community. To dream bigger for those we serve.
Let us move forward together—with open hands and open hearts—igniting new sparks of compassion that will light the next century of service. There is still so much more to be done, and with your continued support, I am confident that we will rise to the call.
Thank you for standing with us. Let us continue to be the hands and feet of healing, hope, and love— for another hundred years, and beyond.
Mr. Ronald Koh
Mr. Albin Phua Chief Executive Officer
2024 was a momentous year for Penang Adventist Hospital, as we celebrated our 100th anniversary, a century of unwavering service, compassion, and healing. It was a proud milestone that reminded us of how far we’ve come, and the lives we’ve touched along the way. But while we paused to celebrate this legacy, our journey is far from over. With hearts full of gratitude and eyes set on the future, we remain committed to serving our community with renewed purpose.
Over the past year, our Charity Fund disbursed a total of RM2,510,447, supporting 124 beneficiaries in their journey towards healing. These numbers reflect more than just figures—they represent real people, real families, and real hope. Behind every disbursement is a story of resilience and care, made possible through the kindness of our donors and the dedication of our team.
As we move into 2025, our mission to care for those in need continues—stronger than ever. We are aligning our efforts around 3 key pillars: Community, Charity, and Chaplaincy.
Community outreach remains at the heart of our work. Through free health screenings and public awareness events, we bring healthcare directly to where it’s needed, empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools to care for their own wellbeing.
Charity remains a vital channel through which we raise funds and disburse support to underprivileged patients. Every contribution fuels life-saving treatment and restores dignity to those who might otherwise be left behind.
Chaplaincy offers holistic spiritual and emotional support. Our chaplains continue to walk alongside patients and families, providing comfort, prayer, and a listening ear in their times of greatest need.
We are also excited to share that preliminary works and planning are well underway for our upcoming 19-storey hospital tower. This development is not just about expanding physical infrastructure, it represents our long-term commitment to enhancing patient care, upgrading facilities, and creating more avenues to serve our community with excellence and compassion.
On behalf of everyone at Penang Adventist Hospital, thank you for believing in our mission. Together, we will continue to bring light, love, and healing to those who need it most.
Penang Adventist Hospital’s success throughout these 100 years is due to its belief in God, strong fundamentals, and the vision for helping the community.
As we celebrate this milestone, our guiding principles will continue to shape the hospital’s future, ensuring sustained excellence and compassionate care for generations to come.
Penang Adventist Hospital thrives under the guidance of a dedicated Board of Trustees, composed of community leaders and members of the Seventhday Adventist Church. As volunteers, they serve without remuneration, united by a shared vision of delivering exceptional healthcare with compassion and integrity.
As a not-for-profit hospital, all surplus funds are reinvested into upgrading medical equipment, maintaining hospital facilities, and supporting community outreach programs. This ensures that every resource is used to enhance patient care and fulfill our mission of healing and hope.

Chinese New Year Festive Cookies Drive were filled with gratitude and excitement as we came together to spread joy through a heartwarming cookies drive for children in orphanages. With the support of hospital staff, we collected CNY cookies and biscuits, knowing how much joy these treats would bring to the children.
Led by our CEO, Mr. Albin Phua, and Operations Director, Ms. Janet Leong, our team visited three orphanages—Pertubuhan Kebajikan Da Zhi Jiang Tang, Pertubuhan Penyayang Chi Yun, and Agape Home— spreading joy and kindness with every sweet treat.
In these small gestures lay the true essence of community and giving back. We believed that even the simplest acts of kindness could make a lasting impact.
We were thrilled to share the fantastic results of our CSR Project for Poay Wah School in Tanjung Bungah on March 25th! This initiative encompassed several key components aimed at enhancing the students’ learning environment and wellbeing.
We provided 166 sets of tables and chairs to ensure that every student had access to comfortable and conducive learning spaces, and we donated two 50’’ TVs to facilitate interactive learning and expand their educational resources.
Additionally, we conducted four informative health talks covering
essential topics such as puberty, nutrition, hand hygiene, and sexual education. These sessions were designed to empower students with critical knowledge and encourage healthy lifestyle choices.
To leave a lasting impression, two vibrant mural paintings were created over three sessions, with PAH staff volunteering their time to complete these artworks, enhancing the school’s aesthetic appeal. This impactful CSR initiative, amounting to RM42,980, was generously funded by the Recycling Fund.
Rumah Anak Kesayangan, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Kesayangan Pulau Pinang, Wisma Yatim Perempuan Islam Pulau Pinang, and Wisma Yatim Laki-Laki Islam Pulau Pinang.
Our team was deeply moved by the smiles of gratitude on the children’s faces, a reminder of the profound impact that simple acts of kindness can have. Seeing their joy and excitement filled our hearts and underscored the true spirit of giving that defines the sacred month of Ramadan.
This meaningful initiative was a testament to the strength of compassion and community, bringing together staff, volunteers, and supporters to make a tangible difference.
The charity car boot sales, held on August 2nd, 9th, and 30th, were a tremendous success, raising funds for three not-for-profit homes: Syukur Penyayang (Gan En Zhi Jia), Crystal Family Home, and Agape Home. The event brought together staff and the public in a spirit of teamwork, fun, and generosity, offering a wide range of items from arts and crafts to food, preloved treasures, and even terrariums. The efforts of everyone involved were evident in the
unique stalls, which generated direct donations to the Recycling Fund.
A total of RM 16,085.30 was raised and invested in much-needed items for the homes. On September 12th, Charity Car Boot Sales stallers visited the homes to deliver the donations, witnessing the joy and gratitude of the recipients. The event proved that teamwork truly makes extraordinary achievements possible.
• Agape Home received cabinets and beds to improve living conditions
• Gan En Zhi Jia was provided with a washing machine and vital sign monitor for elderly care
• Crystal Family Home benefited with 11 wooden blinds to provide comfort to the children.
Deepavali, also known as the Festival of Lights, symbolises the triumph of light over darkness. In the spirit of this celebration, our hospital organised a CSR initiative to bring joy and hope to underprivileged individuals within the Hindu community who are beneficiaries of our charity fund.
Joined by our CEO, Mr. Albin Phua, the Charity Team distributed essential items to beneficiaries, made possible through a portion of the funds raised from our Charity Car Boot Sales. This initiative also allowed us to visit charity patients and follow up on their progress. It was heartening to witness their healing journey and their determination to lead fulfilling lives. We remain committed to making a lasting impact on the community.
The “100 Acts of Kindness” event marked the beginning of our hospital’s 100th anniversary celebrations in January 2024. More than just a fundraising effort for the Dr. J. Earl Gardner Fund, this campaign united the community in a shared spirit of generosity. We invited the public to donate RM100 and place it in our donation post-box, launching a year-long celebration of our hospital’s centennial milestone.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we raised an astounding RM173,958! These funds have been channeled directly into the Dr. J. Earl Gardner Fund, ensuring that kindness continues to heal and uplift those in need.
The event’s closing ceremony was made even more special with the presence of VIP guests, including YB Syerleena Abdul Rashid, YB Joshua Woo, and YB Joseph Ng. We are also deeply grateful to Dr. Peter Landless, who was the Director of the General Conference Health Ministries Department at the time, for his invaluable support of the 100 Acts of Kindness movement
Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to the public, our dedicated hospital staff, and all who contributed to making this initiative a resounding success. Your generosity and kindness have truly set the tone for a year of celebration and giving.

The 100th Anniversary Celebration Dinner was a momentous occasion, bringing together esteemed guests, dedicated supporters, and members of the hospital community to commemorate a century of compassionate care and service.
We were deeply honored to welcome the Gardner family, who traveled from the United States to celebrate the enduring legacy of their forefather, Dr. J. Earl Gardner—a visionary whose unwavering commitment to healing laid the foundation of Penang Adventist Hospital. Their presence, along with that of missionaries whose parents and grandparents served in the early mission clinic, added profound meaning to the evening. It was a privilege to share this historic milestone with them, reaffirming the lasting impact of Dr. Gardner’s mission and the hospital’s continued dedication to his legacy.
The event was further graced by the presence of YAB Chow Kon Yeow, Chief Minister of Penang, whose support and acknowledgment underscored the hospital’s vital role in the community.
A particularly moving moment of the evening was the heartfelt testimony of Andy, a charity
patient who shared his inspiring journey of recovery, made possible through the hospital’s charity fund. His story served as a powerful reminder of the mission that has guided Penang Adventist Hospital for the past century—extending healing and hope to those in need.
In celebration of this significant milestone, generous donors contributed an impressive RM 710,937 dedicated to the Dr. J. Earl Gardner Fund, ensuring that his vision of compassionate care continues to uplift lives.
Looking ahead, the unveiling of plans for a new 19-story tower block signified the hospital’s commitment to the future, expanding capacity and enhancing medical services to meet the evolving healthcare needs of the community.
As we reflect on a century of service, we extend our deepest gratitude to all who joined us in this celebration. Your support and presence made this event truly unforgettable, reinforcing the strength of our mission as we embark on the next chapter of our journey.

Healing starts with a little hope and a lot of courage.
Madam Laily had been struggling with nerve pain and leg swelling for years. In 2006, she underwent surgery at another hospital, hoping for relief. While the surgical wound eventually healed, the pain and swelling never truly went away. As the years passed, her condition worsened, making daily life increasingly difficult.
In 2024, Madam Laily sought help from Dr. Murli, who diagnosed her with chronic varicose vein ulcers. Despite multiple wound dressings, the ulcers refused to heal, causing her unbearable discomfort. Dr. Murli recommended endovenous surgery, a procedure that could finally put an end to her suffering. However, the cost of the procedure was a barrier, and she simply could not afford it.
The doctor referred Madam Laily to charity for financial assistance, but she hesitated. She felt ashamed to ask for financial assistance, struggling with the idea of relying on others. However, as the pain grew unbearable, she realized she had no other choice. Walking became difficult, and she could no longer enjoy simple joys like jogging with her friends. Feeling defeated, she finally gathered the courage and reached out for help.
Charity approved RM 25,000 (100% of the surgery cost) to fund her surgery. While relieved and grateful, another fear crept in. — What if the surgery did not go well? What if she could never walk again? Torn between hope and fear, she finally pushed past her doubts and scheduled the surgery.
Just when it seemed like everything was finally falling into place, another hurdle emerged. Before her scheduled surgery, Madam Laily developed an infection, experiencing nausea and dizziness, which led to the procedure being postponed. This setback not only delayed her recovery but also added to her medical expenses. Once again, she turned to charity, which generously approved another RM 10,097.70 (100% of the total bills) to cover her extended treatment.
Finally, after months of struggles and uncertainty, Madam Laily underwent the surgery successfully. During follow-up visits, she greeted us with a bright smile. Her wound was healing well, and she felt more optimistic than ever. She eagerly looked forward to resuming her daily routine and most importantly, jogging and reconnecting with her friends again—something she once feared she would never be able to do.
“I was at the end of my rope, but you gave me hope again.”
Mr. Lee, a maintenance technician doing his best to support his family. Life was never easy, but he pushed through for his wife, their five-year-old daughter, an unborn child, and his mother-in-law, who is a stroke patient under his care. However, in September 2024, everything changed.
Mr. Lee, a hit and run victim, was riding on his motorbike, on his way home from work. He fell hard on the left side of his body, suffering multiple injuries, including severe ligament tears and meniscus damage in his knee. Desperate for a solution, he sought treatment at both government and private hospitals, but all he received were painkillers. No real treatment, no way forward.
As the pain worsened, he is unable to work due to his injuries. Coupled with his wife who was four months pregnant at the time, even the basic expenses became a struggle. Hopelessness crept in. On the advice of a doctor from another hospital, he came to see Dr. Tang, an orthopedic specialist at Penang Adventist Hospital—his last ray of hope.
After a thorough evaluation, Dr. Tang recommended a multiple ligament reconstruction with allograft and both meniscus repairs surgery. However, the procedure would cost RM 70,000, a sum Mr. Lee simply could not afford. Already struggling to cover basic living expenses, the idea of funding such an expensive surgery seemed impossible.
In desperation, he turned to charity, pleading for financial aid. “I am in pain every day. If it was not for my wife, our daughter
and our unborn child, I would have given up long ago. This surgery is my only hope. I need to be well again so that I can work and provide for my family. Please, I humbly ask for your kindness and support,” he said, with voice filled with emotion.
Recognizing the urgency of his case, charity, despite the usual funding cap of RM 50,000 per patient, decided to support him fully. A press conference was organized to raise funds additional fund for his surgery. The response was nothing short of extraordinary—within just one week, RM 70,000 was raised, thanks to the generosity of people from all walks of life.
With the funds secured, Mr. Lee underwent the life-changing surgery. The procedure was a success, finally bringing relief from his daily pain and giving him a chance to rebuild his life. Mr. Lee is beyond grateful. “Thank you for standing by me during the toughest time of my life. I cannot express how much this means to me and my family,” he shared.
Mr Lee’s journey is a powerful reminder of how kindness and compassion can transform lives. Because of your support, he is closer than ever to regaining his mobility and independence. Let us continue to cheer him on as he works toward a full recovery.
“No matter how tough it gets; I will keep moving forward.”
Being a single mother is never easy, and raising children on a limited income is even tougher. Madam Nah, a single mother of three, has faced numerous challenges while balancing work and family over the past ten years. Despite the hardships, her unwavering dedication and love for her family have made her more than just a mother; she has been a pillar of strength for her family.
However, in May, her world turned upside down. After feeling pain and noticing a lump on her left breast, she consulted doctor. The diagnosis was heartbreaking: stage 3 breast cancer. Shock and disbelief overwhelmed her. Not only was she battling with the physical pain, but the mental and emotional toll was equally crushing.
Given the aggressive nature of the cancer, the doctor recommended immediate treatment. However, Madam Nah was overwhelmed with worry—how would she afford the costly medical care needed? The burden of mounting expenses weighed heavily on her, knowing that her treatment would be both extensive and financially challenging.
Remembering her health insurance, she quickly reached out to her agent, hoping it would cover the treatment costs. To her horror, she found out that her policy had lapsed due to missed payments and was now null and void. The only option left was to appeal for reinstatement, but that seemed like a distant hope. At her most difficult moment, her sister stepped in, offered to help cover some initial treatment costs. Yet, this was only
a temporary fix; the financial burden loomed large over her future. While struggling, a friend suggested the medical welfare services at Penang Adventist Hospital. Desperate for help, she approached the charity with a heavy heart.
“I feel so helpless now,” she said during the interview, her voice trembling. “I don’t know why this is happening to me. Where can I find enough to pay for treatment? I really don’t know what to do next.” Her exhaustion was clear, both from the treatment’s side effects and the emotional strain of her situation.
Just when everything seemed hopeless, help arrived when she needed it most. a thorough application process, Madam Nah was granted charity assistance of RM 50,000—covering nearly 29% of her total treatment costs. It felt like a heavy burden had been lifted off her shoulders. Though the road ahead remained long and challenging, this support gave her a moment to breathe and focus on her recovery.
Madam Nah expressed her deepest gratitude for the charity’s assistance. “Thank you for helping me when I felt I had nowhere to turn to,” she said. “No matter how tough it gets; I will keep moving forward.”
When Madam Ong first noticed a lump on her right breast in December 2020, she knew something was wrong. At 60 years old, she had always been active and full of life, but the diagnosis that followed was devastating: metastatic breast cancer, which had already spread to her lungs, liver, and spine.
“I am scared, but I know I have to fight. I am not ready to give up on life,” she said.
Her journey has not been easy. Since her diagnosis, she has been unable to work and has spent nearly RM 200,000 from her EPF savings on cancer treatments. By January 2023, fatigue, mobility issues, and incontinence became daily struggles, and her cancer markers skyrocketed from 200 to 2300. Despite it all, she remained determined to keep fighting. She sought charity assistance and received RM 40,000, easing her burden to continue her chemotherapy at Penang Adventist Hospital. However, the side effects left her so weak that she had to switch to oral chemotherapy, which she continues to this day.
What sets Madam Ong apart is her positivity. Despite her illness, she is a familiar face at our hospital events—whether it is a cancer support group, a charity run, or a workshop. “I want to live fully, even with cancer,” she says. “Inspiring others gives me strength.”
Her husband has been her rock, standing by her side through every appointment and treatment. His presence is a constant source of strength, his love and encouragement carrying her through even the toughest days. Together, they face each challenge with courage, showing that love and positivity can light the way even in the darkest times.
Madam Krishaammah had always been a devoted mother, a pillar of strength for her family. But as she grew older, she began suffering from chest pain, breathlessness, and constant fatigue. After visiting a government hospital and undergoing an angiogram, she was diagnosed with heart disease, but her surgery was delayed until the following year — far too long for her deteriorating condition.
Worried about her condition, her children sought a second opinion at Penang Adventist Hospital. She consulted Dr. Lee Kuo Ting, who diagnosed her with ischemic heart disease and severe aortic stenosis. Doctor advised that the tightness in her heart valves needed an Aortic Valve Replacement and Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG). The surgery was crucial, but the estimated cost of RM120,000 was far beyond what the family could afford.
Desperate to help their mother, the family explored every possible options. Through a relative, they learned about Penang Adventist Hospital’s medical charity and reached out to the medical welfare officer. They were willing to pay as much as they could, even borrowing from family and friends, hoping that charity could help with partial of the surgery cost. After going through all the necessary application process, charity approved RM 50,000 (41.7% of estimated cost) to assist her surgery cost.
Grateful beyond words, the family scheduled the surgery immediately. Madam Krishaammah successfully underwent the procedure, and her recovery was nothing short of remarkable. The pain that once burdened her was gone. Her breathlessness had eased. She could now return to her daily activities, including cooking, doing housework, and tending to her garden — things she never thought she would be able to do again.
Her children shared their happiness with us. “Seeing our mother healthy again is the greatest blessing.” With Madam Krishaammah’s recovery, the family’s world had brightened once more.
Patient Heart Fund
Mr. Teh Lye Soon, a 63-year-old self-employed plumber, has always been a hardworking man dedicated to providing for his family. His life took an unexpected turn in 2024 when he began experiencing shortness of breath and intense chest pain.
With his consultation at the general hospital scheduled five months later, Mr. Teh sought faster intervention at PAH. On 12 January, he consulted Dr. Tan Chiang Soo. That evening, he experienced chest pain and had difficulty breathing, leading to his admission for an angiogram. The results revealed atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with three severe heart blockages at 90-95%. Although he required a percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), financial constraints forced him to discharge without the procedure.
Four days later, Mr. Teh’s condition took a turn for the worse, and he was rushed to PAH’s emergency room, struggling to breathe. He required an urgent PCI procedure to save his life. While the procedure was successfully carried out, the medical bill of RM 46,711.20 remained a heavy burden. “I did not know how we would afford it,” Mr. Teh recalls. “Thankfully, with the support of PAH’s medical charity, we were able to ease our financial worries and focus on recovery
The PCI procedure was successful, and the charity fund disbursed RM 46,711.20 covering 100% of his medical bills, lifting a huge financial weight off the family.
Today, Mr. Teh is recuperating well at home. He wakes up every morning with gratitude and a renewed sense of joy. “I almost lost my breath during that time,” he shares. “Now, every sunrise feels like a gift. I meditate, train my breathing, and take care of my health. I am so thankful to the hospital and the charity team for giving me this second chance.”
Inspired by the support he received, Mr. Teh has started participating in charity work, eager to give back to the community. “I do not know how long I have left in this world,” he says, “but I want to cherish every moment and help others however I can.”
At Penang Adventist Hospital, we are deeply moved by the heartfelt gratitude of our patients. Their words remind us why we do what we do.
“The staff at Penang Adventist Hospital—from the nurses and charity team to the cafeteria staff—are all so kind and loving. I feel blessed to undergo dialysis treatment here, and the charity assistance made it possible.”
“My OKU brother, Ravi, can now see more clearly and falls less often. I feel much more at ease now.”
“The dialysis nurses here are very professional. They can cannulate my fine veins well. The service and warmth in this hospital cannot be found elsewhere. I am very grateful for the support from the charity fund.”
“Thank you for the subsidy from Penang Adventist Hospital’s charity fund. It has helped lessen my family’s burden in providing for my dialysis treatment. This is an ongoing cost for them, and the assistance means so much.”
“Thank you, Penang Adventist Hospital charity fund. I have restored my vision. I thought I would have to live with poor vision for the rest of my life.”
“I was able to have cataract surgeries for both of my eyes with charity assistance. I am so thankful for that.”
Madam Shirly, a 40-year-old single mother, has faced more challenges than most can imagine. Separated from her abusive husband three years ago, she has been raising her young son, Lakhsshan Velraj, alone. Relying on part-time jobs and the kindness of relatives to make ends meet, life has been a constant struggle. But when her son fell ill not once, but twice, Shirly faced her toughest challenge yet.
In 2023, 4-year-old Lakhsshan was diagnosed with acute tonsillitis and admitted to Penang Adventist Hospital (PAH) for three days. Their insurance claim was denied due to a pre-existing condition. Madam Shirly, who was unemployed at that time, struggled to cover the RM 3,135.10 bill. She was helpless and scared. Thanks to the support of PAH’s charity fund, the bill was fully covered, giving them a lifeline.
Just a year later, her son fell ill again, this time with acute gastroenteritis. The bill totalled RM 3,105.30, and once again, their insurance claim was denied. Despite her financial struggles, Madam Shirly, who had recently found a job as a clinic nurse, paid RM 400 from her small savings. “I tried to pay the bill as much as I could,” she said. The charity fund stepped in once more, covering the outstanding RM 2,705.30. She was so grateful for the help that they have received.
Today, Madam Shirly is rebuilding her life. She earns RM 1,700 a month as a clinic nurse, enough to support her son and herself. She remains hopeful for the future. The hope that keeps her going is to give her son a better life, one where he can grow up healthy and happy.

In addition, such resources also enable us to provide numerous other community health programmes that benefit the public.

The Chaplaincy programs (pastoral care) at Penang Adventist Hospital are key services in total patient care. Total patient care provides for an individual’s spiritual as well as physical and mental needs.
When lives are in the balance and uncertainly overcomes a person, a kind word, gentle touch, whispered prayer, or an empathic presence can soothe a soul an bring efficacy to the healing process.
During such moments, chaplains offer critically needed spiritual and emotional support; ministering to patients, their families and medical staff with unconditional love, sacrifice, and service. Due to the patient’s diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, chaplains can help to connect patients with their own spiritual beliefs.
If you know of any patient with a life-threatening medical condition who needs financial assistance, have the patient or guardian contact the Medical Welfare Services at (+604) 222 7604 / 7605
The simplest method of providing support for the Penang Adventist Hospital Charity Fund is through gift contribution – whether cash, personal cheque, credit card authorisation, money order, bank draft or electronic fund transfer.
