TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. The terms of the sale are cash unless prior arrangements have been made. 2. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. The person in charge will settle any disputes as to bids, and his decision on such matters shall be final. 3. Any announcement from the seller on sale day will take precedence over printed material. 4. Health certificates will be furnished for shipment anywhere in the United States. 5. Each animal becomes buyer’s risk as soon as sold; but it shall be the obligation of the seller to see that animals are fed and cared for, free of charge to purchaser, until loaded for shipment or until the expiration of December 20th of the current year. 6. All claims for adjustment for bred females must be made before May 1st of the following year. All claims for adjustment for heifer calves must be made by September 1st of the following year. 7. Everyone attending this sale does so at their own risk. Owners, clerks or other helpers do not assume responsibility, legal or otherwise, for damages of any kind. 8. Trucking by arrangement. Free to pick up locations in Madras, OR, Canton, OK, & Douds, IA. 9. A certificate of registry and transfer shall be furnished for each registered bred female sold at a final bid price of $1,500 or higher. A certificate of registry and transfer shall be furnished for each registered heifer calf sold at a final bid price of $1,200 or higher. If final bid price is less than either of these amounts the cattle will be considered commercial. Certificates of registry may be purchased for the difference. 10. The above terms and conditions shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller of each animal sold.

Welcome to the Big Sky Elite Female Sale! Every sale manager letter I write, nothing changes – quality cattle are always at the top of my list on recommendations for auction attendees and buyers. This season is unique in that the severe drought of the Northwest and upper Midwest have caused a lot of cattlemen and women to sell deep into their herds to survive the crisis of the feed cost situation of 2021. With these liquidations will come opportunity as the 10-year cattle cycle begins to show signs of great cattle prices again in the near future. I cannot emphasize enough your chance at being ready for the upswing in these prices. Due Date: 3/11/22 I have no idea why this cow is in the sale. We purchased her as a bred heifer from VF and she has hit it every time for us. Her heifer this year had 106 WR and may be one of the best Spartcus daughters. Last years heifer is in the very Lot 147 top end of all the bred heifers, her bull in 2019 is one of our herd sires. Her bull in 2018 sold into one of the best commercial herds anywhere. Her dam is a cow that VF Red Angus bought from us and ﬂushed. This cow has done everything right through the years and left us with awesom progeny. Great feet and a near perfect udder. It’s hard to fault his cow, shes just one of those cows that does her job every single year.
