A Look Inside

My Summer Moodboard

This season I am drawn to a palette that feels easy and quietly unexpected. Soft sun washed blues paired with rich berry reds bring a freshness that still feels grounded and livable. There is a quiet confidence in this combination where color becomes part of the atmosphere rather than the focus. It feels relaxed and layered, like a room made for long afternoons and unhurried evenings.

5Tips & Tricks to Elevate a Summer Dinner Party

There’s nothing better than a beautiful dinner table. Combined with great food, friends, and family, it creates the kind of evening people remember long after it’s over.

Alfresco dining simply means eating outdoors, and summer is the perfect time for it. The best outdoor tables feel relaxed but still pulled together, layered, welcoming, and quietly beautiful.

LEMON POSSETS

INGREDIENTS

2 cups heavy cream

⅔ cup granulated sugar

5 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon lemon zest

Fresh berries or mint, for serving (optional)

1. Heat the cream and sugar: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream and sugar. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally, and let simmer for 3 minutes.

2. Add the lemon: Remove from heat and stir in the fresh lemon juice and lemon zest. The mixture will naturally begin to thicken.

3. Pour and chill: Divide the mixture into small glasses, ramekins, or jars.

4. Refrigerate: Chill for at least 4 hours, or until set.

5.Serve: Top with fresh berries, extra lemon zest, or mint if desired.

INGREDIENTS

3 ripe peaches, sliced

1 ball burrata cheese

4 cups arugula or mixed greens

½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved

4–6 slices prosciutto

¼ cup fresh basil leaves

2 tablespoons toasted pistachios or walnuts

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon balsamic glaze

Salt and black pepper, to taste

DIRECTIONS

1. Prepare the base:

Arrange the arugula or mixed greens on a serving platter.

2. Add the toppings:

Layer the sliced peaches, cherry tomatoes, prosciutto, and basil over the greens.

3. Finish with burrata:

Tear the burrata and place it throughout the salad.

4. Dress the salad:

Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze. Sprinkle with toasted pistachios, salt, and black pepper.

5. Serve:

Enjoy immediately while the peaches are fresh and juicy.

Notes

*Grilled peaches add a smoky-sweet flavor that pairs beautifully with the prosciutto.

*For extra brightness, finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
