Petals & Perfection

A Designer’s Guide to Floral Masterpieces

PRO TIP

natural, layered, and just right for spring.

Play with the scale and shape of your flowers. Mix larger, statement blooms with smaller, delicate ones to create visual interest and balance. For example, pair a few large, lush peonies with smaller sprigs of wildflowers or filler blooms like Queen Anne’s lace

Choose the Right Vessel

Start with a simple, neutral vase. Whether it’s a low, wide bowl or a tall, elegant vessel, the shape should allow the blooms to be the star of the show.

Create a Greenery Base

Add a mix of greenery eucalyptus, olive branches, or clippings from your yard Let the stems cascade naturally for a soft, relaxed foundation.

Bring in Focal Blooms

Select a few standout flowers like garden roses, peonies, or ranunculus. Cluster them loosely, slightly offcenter for an effortlessly collected look

Layer in Texture & Contrast

Incorporate smaller blooms, such as lisianthus or sweet peas, and add unexpected elements like wildflowers or dried stems for a touch of texture and movement.

Edit for Balance & Beauty

Step back and assess your arrangement. Adjust for balance, keeping it asymmetrical and relaxed The beauty is in the imperfections allow the arrangement to feel fresh and alive.

Declutter & Refresh Your Home Like a Designer

Spring is the perfect time to clear out the clutter and breathe new life into your home But rather than just tidying up, approach it with a designer’s eye.

Start by removing everything from shelves, countertops, and surfaces. A blank slate allows you to see your space with fresh eyes and decide what truly belongs. Once everything is cleared, edit ruthlessly.

Designers follow the “less is more ” philosophy, so ask yourself: Does this serve a purpose? Does it bring me joy? If not, donate, repurpose, or store it away.

By following these steps, your home won’t just be cleaner it will feel elevated and refreshed, ready to welcome a new season in style.
