Extending the life of products is essential to reducing their environmental impact. PELLENC has been developing durable, robust and repairable machines for many years. Going beyond the regulations, PELLENC fights against programmed obsolescence and respects the environment. Since 2023, several of its products have been LONGTIME® certified, the first European label for products designed to last. PELLENC is the first manufacturer of professional tools, motors and batteries to receive this label.
RECYCLING
Waste management will be a major issue in the coming years. With natural resources becoming depleted, we must move towards increased utilisation of secondary raw materials from recycling.
You have a responsibility to contribute to recycling at your point of sale, and to make sure you properly manage the storage and collection of your batteries and tools at the end of their lives.
As a distributor of Pellenc and other brands of electrical equipment, consider outfitting yourself with storage and transport facilities for your batteries, such as those made available by the French agency SCRELEC.
From 1 January 2022, the management method of the WEEE eco-tax will change: the eco-tax will no longer be charged to the user customer but only to the manufacturer. The eco-organisations are responsible for organising their collection.
Contact your local eco-organisation to arrange for the collection of your equipment. There is an eco-organisation for the recovery of tools and batteries in each country.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
COLLECTION
In France, for example, simply make an equipment collection request and SCRELEC will appoint a carrier to pick up the collected batteries or tools within 15 working days.
The storage containers are then sent to a collection centre and then to a recycling/recovery centre.

1. New cells that are highly resistant to charging and discharging cycles
At the heart of the battery, the lithium-ion cell was chosen for its available energy capacity and its service life. The cells are sensitive to the level of charge: too low a charge and the cells die, too high a charge and they become unstable.
2. High-performance electronic management
Charging must stop before one of the cells becomes unstable. The other cells will not necessarily be fully charged, and the capacity will be reduced.

THE CUTTING HEAD:
Can the C35 and C45 blade with grease nipple be fitted to VINION and PRUNION?
No, because the stacking of the parts the same and does not guarantee perfect blade tightness.
Blade maintenance: easier or same as in the past?
Sharpening angles: simpler thanks to the more pronounced single counter-bevel and the single radius.
Burr, identical, i.e. in the first 15 minutes of cutting. Safer thanks to the open guard, i.e. the trigger no longer acts to close the blade.
Simplified greasing, to be carried out with the supplied grease gun for daily lubrication.
Crossing, identical, i.e. setting with F5 mode.
Wear on the blades: when should they be replaced?
PELLENC recommendation: replacement every 200 hours, i.e. 2 blades per season on average.
Why? A blade loses its 3D profile after being repeatedly sharpened. This affects cutting performance, even if the blade remains well sharpened.
How should I go about adjusting the tightness of the blade?
PELLENC recommendation: the clearance check ring should slide very slightly in the "blade closed" position.
Frequency: daily check (if necessary, tightening wrench supplied). Are there specific cleaning instructions with Activ' Security?

COMFORT HARNESS
EXCELION ALPHA
After a long press on both buttons, the display will flash.
The rapid power-on can be activated from the upper or lower position, so it is always within easy reach.
Reversible!
The tool can be plugged into the lower socket, e.g. for working with a blower, or the upper socket for a hedge trimmer.
Adjust the spine of the harness according to the size of the user and the type of work to be done. A high position is recommended, however, except for work requiring the arms to be in a raised position or the body leaning forward (in that case, lower the battery position a little).
Start adjusting the straps from bottom to top. Proper adjustment considerably reduces the weight on the back.
Finish by adjusting the return straps, which are designed to hold the battery firmly on the back. Turn the chest strap over to position it higher or lower according to your body shape. To make it more comfortable for female users, the right-left supports can be reversed for quick connection in order to refit the chest strap.
Cut tall grass when demonstrating the tool to show how powerful it is, adjust the cutting speed up and down.
Speed 1 is recommended for finishing work as well as weeding to limit the spraying of debris.
Speed 3 is recommended for cutting after the wire has been replaced.
The handle can be adjusted to make it easier to work on slopes.
CITY CUT
The counter-rotational movement allows a complete rotation of the 2 blades in the opposite direction to the movement of the reciprocating blade (scissor effect).
For optimal efficiency and ergonomics, hold the City Cut head at a 28° or 51° angle, depending on the working direction.
Working in CITY CUT mode in automatic operation avoids scattering debris and reduces wear on the dual blades while ensuring battery life of more than one working day.
Are your new blades noisy? That’s normal! Remember to spin them for a few minutes in a sandy area.
EXCELION 2
Quick change to faster speed by pressing upwards.
At the start of each work session, the remaining battery life will be displayed after 3 min. of work.
Reset the working time before starting a session at a work site to know the actual working time.
Ultra-fast wire loading with TAP CUT 2 & 3. heads.
It is possible to switch directly to speed 4 by activating the Boost function.
BOOST = Press down on the paddle switch for 0.5 seconds.
In tall grass, use the chopping blades rather than wire to save energy while continuing to mulch.
The time is indicated in hours/minutes when the trigger is pulled and in % when the trigger is released.
Remember to activate the speed limiter when working on a uniform work site.
RASION 2
Adapt your cutting speed to the type of work to be done:
• Maintenance mowing: lower the speed of the blades and increase the ground speed;
• Difficult conditions (tall grass): increase the speed of the C3 blades and reduce the ground speed by 2 km/h (1 mph).
• Please note, RASION cuts deep! A height of 55 mm/2.2 in. leaves an actual length of more like 45 mm/1.8 in.
Maintenance cutting, speed 1 is suitable if there is a noise constraint. Dry grass, height of <5 cm/<2 in.
Maintenance, speed 2 suitable for noisesensitive environments Wet grass, height between 5 and 10 cm/2 and 4 in.
Mulching, ejection. Wet and heavy grass, height between 5 and 10 cm/2 and 4 in.
Difficult collecting conditions and fast ground speeds. Dry grass
The boost function is activated by pressing the trigger twice. For effective collecting, use suction blades. Ref. 160427

Quick access, which makes your work easier:
CRUISE CONTROL = Press up on the paddle switch for 0.5 seconds.
BOOST = Press down on the paddle switch for 0.5 seconds.
Ergonomic angled nozzle for more air flow. For large piles of leaves.
Angled flat nozzle for speed and precision. For very wet leaves on the ground and other highly encrusted residues, cigarette butts, trellis towers.

Remember to use the correct nozzles for the work to be done:
Flat nozzle for more speed with a controlled air flow, for blowing under cars or removing leaves on wet ground.
Ergonomic nozzle to reduce wrist strain, allowing you to work effortlessly for several hours and move a large volume of leaves.
Scraper nozzle for scraping the ground and lifting dirt.
HELION ALPHA
Start your demos with an ALPHA 260 battery.
For optimal storage, fold the tool 180°, a safety device is then activated and prevents the hedge trimmer blades from starting up.
Speed selection:
• Speed 1 for deciduous shrubs and large diameter cuts.
• Speeds 2 and 3 for annual pruning.
HELION 3
Choice of hedge trimmer blades:
• 51 and 63 cm (20 and 25 in.) blades for cutting back hedges from November to January or for maintaining narrow hedges and finishes.
• 75 cm/30 in. blade for maintaining wide hedges and finishes.
Speed selection:
• Speeds 1 and 2 for pruning.
• Speeds 3 and 4 for finishing.
Enables cutting diameters up to 3 cm/1 in.

Several possible attachments for the battery (ULiB 150 and 150P) and right- or left-handed holster.
Grease the blade shaft once a day.
Refresh the edge of the blade after the first 15 minutes of cutting, then every 1 to 2 days maximum.
Check the blade tightness once a week.
SELION C21 EVO
For better working comfort, remember to thread the wire through the strap loops and then in the strap provided.
Choose the lightweight ALPHA 520 battery, which has a range of 4 to 5 hours, or the ULiB 750 battery, which is compact and has a range of 1.5 days.
CLEANION
Use the collection box for heavy waste such as sand or gravel.
CULTIVION
Remember to check the tightness of the cord on the back of the tool every day before starting work.
Check that the Activ' Security feature is working every time you start it up.
