Barre Sept 1- Dec 28 Tuesday

This low impact, energizing workout helps you create long, lean, powerful muscles & increase your flexibility. Classes include use of the ballet barre, hand weights, resistance bands & exercise balls. Exercises typically focus on small, pulsing movements with emphasis on form, alignment & core engagement. Please bring your own yoga mat. All fitness levels are welcome & encouraged!

Boot Camp Sept 2- Dec 30 Wednesday 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. 45-55 minute High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). You will use your entire body as you emphasize stretching, cardio, weights & floor work at all fitness levels. Please bring water & a hand towel.
In-Trinity Warrior 1 Sept 2- Dec 30 Wednesday 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. This class increases your flexibility & lean muscle mass, builds a stronger heart & relieves body aches & pains. You will move through traditional yoga stretches & martial arts agility sequences while elevated on a unique fitness board. Appropriate for all fitness levels. Please bring your own yoga mat.

Start Smart Basketball is a developmentally appropriate introductory basketball program for children. The program prepares children for organized basketball in a fun, less-intense environment, and also prepares their parents for organized basketball without the heat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Age-appropriate equipment will be used in teaching dribbling/ball handling, passing/catching, shooting, and running/agility, while offering a condensed taste of in-game situations, primarily focusing on learning fundamentals and having fun being introduced to the game. Players will get to experience 4 condensed games during the 6 week program. SPACE IS LIMITED!

T-ball is the perfect introduction to baseball and softball for young players. Our instructional program, partnered with the Start Smart Development Program, helps children develop the primary skills of hitting, running, fielding and throwing in a fun and active environment. Players begin to learn the basic rules of the game while also building self-esteem and learning sportsmanship & teamwork. Please purchase a metal T-ball bat and batting helmet that will be needed when games start. An additional Start Smart kit—featuring a non-metal bat, 2 Koosh balls, and a fielding glove— will be provided to ensure safer equipment during early skill development. Games and practices will be held during the week against teams from Pelham only.

Want to Get Involved with Pelham Youth Athletics? If you would like to become a youth sports coach with Pelham Parks and Recreation, please visit our online registration portal under the Youth Sports tab, find the “Coach Application” on your account dashboard for the corresponding season that you would like to become a volunteer coach for, and fill out the necessary registration information. Once you submit info, you will receive a follow up email from one of our Athletics Coordinators with next steps. Up-to-date documentation is required BEFORE being allowed to coach on-field. Documentation includes a completed volunteer form for background check, and a Coach Safely certificate of completion from ARPA. NOTE: Completing registration and submitting documents does not guarantee you a coaching position, but all coaching volunteers must complete registration for eligibility. 250 Celebration Together Under One Flag Day: Sunday Date: September 27 Cost: Free Time: 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Age: All/Family Location: Pelham City Park Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with an evening honoring our veterans and bringing our community together! Enjoy live music from Act of Congress, bounce houses, a balloon artist, games, food trucks, and plenty of free, family-friendly fun. Bring a chair or blanket, gather with friends and family, and spend the evening celebrating at City Park! No registration required.

Whether you enjoy country, motown or classic rock, Music in the Park offers something for every music lover. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, enjoy a variety of food trucks and spend a relaxing fall Sunday afternoon together at the park. Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must remain on a leash at all times. No registration required.

YOUTH/TWEEN EVENTS
Be sure to visit the Kids Market, featuring amazing items for sale, and don’t miss the popular trick-or-treat trail. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costumes, bring a treat bag, and enjoy a fun-filled day at Pelham City Park.
Family Membership
Must be a resident of Pelham. Includes up to two adults and any unmarried children under the age of 23 living in the same household.

Drop the children off for a fun-filled night with the Pelham Parks and Recreation staff featuring games, arts and crafts, e-sports, and more. Dinner is included, and all activities are designed for boys and girls on Santa’s nice list.
