THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION celebrates 70 years of the Original Penguin polothe shirt whose legacy transcends generations. From the golf course to the backyard barbecue, the Original Penguin Polo’s emblem, Pete the Penguin, continues to symbolize confidence, sophistication, and timeless American style.
IN 1955, the Original Penguin by Munsingwear golf shirt entered the world. A casual yet sophisticated piece is equally at home at the 18th or 19th hole. When it debuted, the Penguin Polo became an instant sensation, a must-have for suburbanites and sports legends.
THE PENGUIN POLO revolutionized what a golf shirt was. Its design featured a sharp three-button placket, an embroidered Penguin logo on the chest pocket, and the innovative “action gusset” for unrestricted movement. The piece married form and function seamlessly.
