I am a Year 3 architecture student from Nanyang Polytechnic. I developed my interest in architecture since primary school, viewing buildings around Singapore and creating livable spaces from simple boxes at home. I then joined the poly to further my interest for the design and architecture field. I am someone who tries to be creative and have my unique style of designing works, where I would hope people see me as articulative and distinctive in my own way.

The ‘Elastic Wish’ (the beauty of a rubber seed) is a rubber tenant’s necessity that they desire for daily; they get to view the whole spatial process of fulfilling their wishes, as the whole building

- When the sun and its shadow arises, the architecture comes to live, as it requires both the right amount of sun and shade to function; it is taken care of by Sun Granters, fulfilling wishes of Rubber Tenants.

- As the sun sets and moon rises, the architecture begins to regenerate itself for it to function again in the day to come; it is taken care of by Moon Granters, applying the unused Sap onto wounded Rubber Trees & collecting the seeds dispersed / produced by the Rubber Trees.

“A COMMUNITY OF PEOPLE WHO FOLLOW THE MOON TO PURIFY WATER”

The head of the Architecture, where it is the main control room, accessing to all parts of the spaces, controlling its vacuum to absorb aquatic toxins & turbines for anchoring the architecture as a still position. The turbines are only movable when the community requires access from the site itself. It is alternatively referred to as the lungs of the architecture, where it keeps its oxygen tanks. These oxygen tanks give the architecture life is the main source of energy. A space where the Purifiers collect the aquatic toxins from the Toxin Pods and wrap them up for disposal to the General Waste Collection Centre. An area where the aquatic toxins from the water is being collected by the vacuums from the turbines. These turbines are solar/lunar generated. Level 3 of the Architecture; a connector to the Site, Levels 2 & 4. A dinning lobby for Purifiers to consume their food / renergize. A resting / sleeping zone for Purifers to renergize in the day, for the night to come A spine access for Purifers to access from the top Levels to Level 1 of the Architecture. Spine accesses are used, as the Spine is the main connector of the GURU. Hence, the accesses used are derived from the Spine concept, so as to connect the spaces together. An airbubble storage area for Purifers to gear up for their work operations underwater. It consists of airbubble helmets which can help them have a sustaintial time underwater. In the day, the purifiers renergize themselves by sleeping / resting / eating for the night to come. As the moon rises, the purifiers gear up & get ready for their underwater work operations. The purifers will head to the cleansing core to control the vacuums (lunar generated) from the cleansing core & toxin pods. The aquatic toxins will then be absorbed / collected into these toxin pods. The purifiers will then go to the purifier lobbies where they wrap the collcted aquatic toxins into used oxygen tanks & send them out for disposal to the General Waste Collection centre, through the adobemon. As the moon sets & sun rises, the waters will be purified & purifiers will head up to the top levels to regenerate themselves for the next night to come. MOON PHASES

I am proposing to create a classier and more aesthetic façade as well as interior, with the implementations of glass windows, curtain windows and vertical green walls to certain parts of the architecture, for family and guest occupants to live in. Moreover, increase the structure to 3 levels. The ground level / level 1 will be the open carpark or garage area, which can place 3 parking lots and a mini lounge area. There will be accessible stairs from the garage and exterior to the second level, where the living room, kitchen, dining room on the verandah (introduces natural cross ventilation), 1 guestroom with a bathroom and 2 restrooms will be. Furthermore, there will also be accessible stairs to the third level, which the level will then include 1 master bedroom (with the biggest bathroom of the house), 2 bedrooms (with bathrooms each), 1 guestroom, 1 restroom, a lounge area and balcony with habitable plants implemented. Lastly, there will be plants placed around the house, where deemed necessary and a pool installed next to the garage on the exterior of the house.
