Cinco Canciones Negras for medium voice and string orchestra
Cinco Canciones Negras was composed in 1945 for medium voice and piano and orchestrated by the composer in 1949. In 1961, he transcribed three of the canciones for string orchestra: Punto de Habanera, ChĂŠvere, and CanciĂłn De Cuna Para Dormir A Un Negrito. The first and last songs -- Cuba dento de un Piano and Canto Negro -- have been arranged for string orchestra by Owen Leech.
