NOK came up as my bachelor’s graduation project for the product design course at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio).

My intention was designing for outdoor sports practitioners in urban or wild environments alike. Therefore, I focused most of my effort into making it as light and environmentally resistant as possible.

The modular properties of the pouches and its attachment system were

based on the idea of building and customizing your own carrying space.

The NOK could be fastened virtually anywhere: belts, backpack straps, bikes and even furniture, it would provide its user with new ways to make space in most of his daily situations.

The NOK became my first product at friendog – the brand I developed while starting my professional life as a designer.

In 2016, the NOK were invited to take part at the Dubai Design Week as one of the participating projects of the Global Grad Show - a selection of 148 projects from 50 universities around the world.

It was a great oportunity to meet fellow designers and also to witness some amazing works in all areas of knowledge, as well as a great honor to have my work aknowledged.

The drawings in which the PAK was based upon. Made by hand in black ink, the color was later added in digital platform.

The CAD allows for better precision in form and details, also facilitating the creation of the fabric templates.

Pedro de Sousa, bachelor in industrial design by Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. Soon after graduation, in 2015, created Friendog*, a brand specialized in hybrid bags for sports practitioners and everyday users.

Three years experienced in designing and manufacturing of bags, with knowledge in sketching, rendering, CAD, templating, sewing techniques, fabrics and materials in general.

Technical skills also include graphic and industrial design, photography, typography, illustration, brand conception and management. Also have practice time as a salesman.

Took part in the 2016 Dubai Design Week as an expositor in the Global Grad Show with the NOK project.

Speak fluent portuguese, advanced english and intermediate french.
