As we step into the first quarter of 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on the past and then look forward to the exciting things to come this year.
I started with Pediatrics Plus in 2011 as a Physical Therapist and have since moved into a central administrative role. One thing that I’ve learned throughout this process is that every team member is important, and everyone plays an integral role in Empowering Children to Conquer Their World.
At our sites, teachers, therapists, and RBTs all serve in direct care roles These roles can be challenging but also rewarding as you experience firsthand the progress that children make each day Our site and central administrative team members also work meticulously “behind the scenes” to ensure paperwork is processed, compliance is maintained, and so much more
Our Appropriate Toy Initiative (ATI) Team is one such “behind the scenes” team ATI was started in 2018 and continues today to not only order toys, furniture, and equipment for our existing sites, but also to order for our new sites. In 2024, our ATI team opened our new location in Van Buren, moved into our Alma preschool expansion, moved into Alma’s newly remodeled therapy space, and opened a temporary location in Cabot. This team’s sole purpose is to prepare each space for occupancy so that our team members can be the hands and feet of the company in serving our children and families.
Looking ahead to this year, we are presented with new opportunities to innovate, collaborate, and continue our growth. Currently, our ATI team is preparing for our permanent Cabot Farm opening in early April and our Little Flock Farm opening in the fall. As we prepare these spaces, we operate with a growth mindset to improve and create new processes through team collaboration during our continued expansion
I feel so honored to be a part of this organization in supporting our mission of Empowering Children to Conquer Their World I want to express my appreciation for the effort of all team members as we work together to support this mission We were able to serve over 6,000 children in 2024 because of your efforts The first quarter of each year is also the perfect time to renew our commitment to excellence and support each other in achieving our goals I am looking forward to continuing to serve alongside each of you throughout 2025!

The barn is now complete at Conway Farm, and we’ve welcomed our animals to their new home!
The sheep are enjoying lounging in the hay, while the highland cow, Holly, and our mini mare, Abby love grazing and taking in the sights of the farm.

Our spring semester is ramping up with new programs being added daily! One great way to view all of the programs and family support opportunities is by viewing the calendar on our website. As we begin to plan for 2025, we are anticipating another successful year of getting children, teens, and young adults with special needs involved in our various sports and arts programs across the state, as well as connecting their families with others for support and encouragement. We currently have Art, Basketball, and Martial Arts programs, along with our Parent Support Group & Respite Care, but programs and locations are continually being added.

As programs begin to start up, this is a perfect time to start volunteering! Whether arts, sports, or family support, we have something for everyone. If you've thought about volunteering but haven't taken that first step, we encourage you to step out and sign up today.
