It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. Simply stated, it is less me and more WE.” We are Oiler Nation! We work every day to be better than the last. Teamwork is the fuel that will help us achieve our goals during this high school journey. We will work to help our students discover their gifts and attain remarkable results. The school year has gotten off to a great start. I hope everyone has had the opportunity to enjoy a night at The Rig or a game in the Pressure Pit. Come out and sway with the band or sing with the choir. Don’t forget to take a trip down the yellow brick road with our theater. Schedule a visit to a classroom and watch our Oilers hard at work. We ask our students to engage and get involved in their high school; we invite our Oiler Community to do the same. Library Online Research Resources for PHS Students Did you know that PHS students have access to thousands of online articles and images for research projects through the PHS Libraries? Our library databases include Britannica, EBSCO, Facts on File, Gale, and World Book. Ask your PHS librarians, Mrs. McManus and Mrs. Sandoval, for password information and for advice on which databases to use for your information search. You can also access the database passwords by logging in to our library catalog. Simply go to the catalog, select our school, and login in using your skyward username and password. The database links and passwords are available on the Home Tab.
Scholastic Book Fair Oct. 5 – 9 The PHS Libraries are hosting a Scholastic Book Fair the week of October 5 – 9 in the Searcy Library. The test is FREE to Pearland High School Students. Student guides were distributed to students on September 25th.

French Club The French Club has kicked off the school year in style. We have 2 events planned per month. The kids are really enjoying being part of the group. French 1 is planning another field trip and to put on French week in November. Please encourage your students to participate.
