; Amplifying Spatial Value of Yujin Mansion
The existing Yujin Mansion consists of two buildings: the inner shopping center on the ground floor and the residential building on the upper floor. Because of its location under the elevated highway, it was more suitable for commercial functions than residential functions.
So the commercial program was revived and F&B, sports, and exhibition programs were made to coexist. It was thought that the long land of over 200m and the long spaces formed accordingly should be preserved, so the existing mass was divided longitudinally to form an alley to take advantage of this characteristic.
Through the creation of alleys, the commercial, F&B, fitness, and exhibition spaces that were vertically separated are organized into four alleys that maintain their respective functions. The alleys vertically open the view from the basement level where Hongjecheon is to the sky, providing a sense of comfort.
