These images clearly portray adaptation, despair, persistence, and quiet revolt of these participants.

This is important for us, because we wanted to reach audiences across the country, and knowing that similar history of Indian residential schools are still relevant.

There is an undertone of acceptance and self love and finding the magic in the mess that is you. And so the album is called The Way That I Am.
