SERMON OUTLINE GENTLENESS THAT CARRIES Matthew 11:28–30

Cultivate: The Fruit of the Spirit — Gentleness 1. COME: Jesus moves toward the weary 2. CARRY: Jesus joins us in our burden 3. LEARN: Jesus teaches us a new way to carry 4. BECOME: Jesus changes what’s underneath

Come to the one who carries you. Jesus doesn’t demand more from us. He carries what we could never carry ourselves.

Reflection: Who around me is weary? What would it look like for my strength, my words, and my presence to make their burden lighter rather than heavier?

Bottom Line: Gentleness doesn’t demand more. It carries burdens with grace.

What difference does your faith actually make? In Because I Believe, Dr. Kannwischer invites us to move beyond simply believing the Apostles’ Creed to actually living it—discovering how faith can shape the way we trust, love, suffer, hope, and engage the world.

Because the question isn’t just what you believe. It’s what difference it makes.
