Prayer of Confession

Merciful God, we confess to You today that we have listened to voices in the culture around us and have been led to do things we know break Your heart. The ethics we hear championed every day are not from You, and they have turned our hearts away from You. Forgive us for our willingness to be influenced by voices other than Yours, and help us to return to and follow You. This confession we make in the name of Jesus, even as we continue our confessions in silence‌
