What is Faithfulness?
“Faithfulness is love that keeps showing up: loyalty, truthfulness, and steadfast devotion expressed in relationship with God and neighbor.” (Source: Baker’s Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology)
What is Faithfulness?
1. If we are faithless, he remains faithful. Paul impresses this message on Timothy, encouraging him to tell the church at Ephesus, because they needed to hear and receive it. So do we. – 2 Timothy 2:13
2. When we experience God’s covenant faithfulness, we grow in our ability to be faithful. This was true for Peter; it is true for us also. – John 21:15-17
3. Pursue Christian Community. It will change you and the world around you for the good. This is the story of the church in the New Testament and in our own time. As we look to Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, as we gather, learn together, grow together, serve together, and love one another, we and the world we live in experience positive transformation. –Hebrews 10:24-25
