You helped build our beautiful Holtzman Twins NICU and numerous programs that support our most vulnerable babies and their families. Many of our patients and families need assistance at a very challenging time in their lives. The Power of Philanthropy at the Holtzman Twins NICU

The Holtzman Twins Special Care Nursery, housed within PeaceHealth Southwest’s Family Birth Center, is designed to keep mom and baby close by offering private rooms with sleeping accommodations, so parents can be near their baby at all times. The beautiful facility was built with the help of donors like you, and now your generosity plays an important role in sustaining and improving the NICU.

Recently, your gifts have made it possible to:

 Purchase new recliners to help promote parent/infant holding, which we call Kangaroo Care. The NICU will be holding a Kangaroo-a-thon later in 2023.

 Remodel and upgrade the NICU Family Kitchen. Special thanks to local businesses and Union High School for their support through the annual Misster Union pageant.

 Provide music therapy to help with pain management, facilitate feedings and stabilize vital signs.

All of these philanthropic initiatives are improving care for the littlest among us, and making life a bit easier for families dealing with the daily stress of having a child in the NICU. Thank you!
