RECENT FUND DISTRIBUTIONS Thanks to your generosity, nearly $25,000 was distributed to PeaceHealth United General Medical Center programs and caregivers in the past year. Here is a sampling of what is made possible by our philanthropic partners like you:

New equipment is essential to ensuring and promoting health and healing in our community. Your contributions enabled us to upgrade our LifeClinic LC300 blood pressure kiosk, which enables patients and visitors to monitor their own cardiovascular health. Additionally, $5,000 in donor funding purchased a Nu-Step Recumbent Cross Trainer for the PeaceHealth United General Outpatient Therapy Clinic.

Excellent cancer care, close to home. The PeaceHealth United General Cancer Center has invested in onsite cancer specialists, advanced therapeutics such as RapidArc radiotherapy, and a fully outfitted facility that surpasses most other critical access hospitals.

Regional, tribal artwork for PeaceHealth United General Medical Center’s permanent art collection.

Colorful artwork by artist Jay Bowen was purchased to improve patient experience. Research has shown that patients who view art in their environment may require less pain medication, have shorter hospital stays and are less likely to return to the hospital after discharge.

Emergency financial support for United General caregivers facing financial hardship due to emergency or unexpected loss.

Thanks to you, nearly $8,000 was allocated to help caregivers with critical expenses like food, housing, utilities, transportation and childcare during times of personal crisis or natural disasters like the unprecedented flooding Skagit County experienced in November 2021.
