A Spooktacular celebration!
You told us, we did... A resident recently told us that some paving outside Peabody Cottages had come loose and was becoming a trip hazard. After investigating the issue, we worked with a nearby resident to arrange access through their garden so the repair could be completed properly.
Get ready for some frightful fun this Halloween! We're delighted to invite residents and their families to our annual Halloween event at the Rosendale Community Centre. Whether you're planning to dress up as a wicked witch, a friendly ghost, a monster, or something completely unexpected, everyone is welcome to join the celebrations. It's a great chance to meet neighbours, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and make some magical Halloween memories together. Children and adults alike are invited to come along and take part in the fun, so dust off your costumes and prepare for an evening of spooky surprises and community spirit. We look forward to seeing plenty of familiar faces and creative costumes on the night. No tricks, just treats! Saturday 31 October, 5pm Rosendale Community Centre All residents and children are welcome.
Thanks to their cooperation, our local contractors were able to attend and fix the pavement that same week, making the area safer for everyone who uses it. E This is a great example of how residents reporting issues, combined with neighbours and colleagues working together, can help us resolve problems quickly and effectively. If you spot something that isn't quite right in the neighbourhood, please let us know. Whether it's a repair, a safety concern, or something that needs attention, your feedback helps us act quickly and keep our communities safe, well maintained and enjoyable places to live.
Take some time for yourself Mums and carers are invited to join ASD Fitness Mums, an inclusive fitness programme designed for SEND mothers and women in the local community. Sessions include yoga, Pilates, Zumba and LBT, helping participants improve wellbeing and connect with others. The programme runs on Fridays from October and is held 10.30am to 12pm at Peabody Cottage. A suggested donation of £3 per session applies.
A great day for the Rosendale community! Residents came together in July for the Rosendale TRA Street Party, enjoying an afternoon of food, music and plenty of entertainment. Held on 25 July, the event brought neighbours together to catch up with familiar faces, welcome new residents and celebrate everything that makes the Rosendale community special. People of all ages joined in, creating a friendly and relaxed atmosphere throughout the day. From families spending time together to neighbours sharing conversations and laughter, the street party offered a valuable opportunity to strengthen community connections and enjoy time outdoors with others. The afternoon was filled with activities, music and refreshments, giving residents plenty of reasons to stay, socialise and take part. Events like this play an important role in supporting wellbeing, helping people feel connected to those around them and fostering a stronger sense of belonging within the neighbourhood. A huge thank you goes to the Rosendale TRA volunteers, whose hard work and dedication made the event possible. Their efforts helped create a memorable day that was enjoyed by many and highlighted the strong community spirit that continues to thrive across Rosendale.

Check your heating Before the cold weather arrives, take a few minutes to check that your boiler and heating are working properly. Simply turn on your heating and hot water and make sure everything fires up as expected. Testing your system early can help identify any issues before temperatures drop and demand for repairs increases. If there is a problem, you'll have more time to arrange a repair and avoid long waits during the busiest time of year. Looking after your wellbeing Join us at the Community Centre on 29 October, from 12.30pm to 2.30pm, for our next Wellbeing Hub.
The Wellbeing Hub brings together Peabody colleagues and local support organisations, giving residents the chance to access free, confidential advice and practical support in a friendly and relaxed setting.
A quick check now could make all the difference later. No one wants to start winter in a cold home without heating or hot water. By acting now, you can stay one step ahead and make sure your home is warm, comfortable and ready for the colder months. Keeping areas clear
Please ensure that all communal landings and corridors are always kept clear of personal belongings. Keeping these areas free from obstructions helps maintain a safe environment for everyone, supports emergency access, and ensures our blocks remain clean and tidy.
Whether you're looking for information about local services, support with your health and wellbeing, help managing everyday challenges, or simply want to find out what's available in your community, there will be plenty of people on hand to help. You don't need to be facing a crisis to attend, and no concern is too small. The Wellbeing Hub is an opportunity to ask questions, have a chat, and explore the support that could make a positive difference to you or your household. We'd love to see you there. Drop in and find out what's available.
