On behalf of all of the Peabody teams working here at Parkside, we would like to wish you all a happy, healthy and safe Christmas holiday.
We look forward to working with you all in 2025, and continuing to develop the lovely community that we are growing here.

Have fun, but stay safe!
E-bikes and e-scooters are becoming ever more popular as a means of getting round.
But, as their popularity increases, so too are the number of incidents, including fatal fires, that are caused by not storing or charging them properly.
So, if Santa is bringing someone in your household an e-scooter or e-bike as a gift, please make sure you only buy from a reputable seller.
Here are some tips from the London Fire Brigade about buying safely. And, just as importantly, please share these tips on how to charge safely with whoever you buy for.
If you celebrate Christmas, there’s nothing quite as festive as turning your home into a winter wonderland. Whether you keep things minimal or go full-on with decadent decorations, pretty paper chains, Christmas candles and festive fairly lights, make sure you check out our top tips to keep you and your neighbours safe.
Getting crafty this Christmas
If you have an artistic youngster in your household, or one that just loves getting their hands dirty, then please join us and the Parkside Resident’s Collective for our Christmas Crafting session.
Residents are welcome to bring their children to the Community Centre from 46pm on Friday 13 December, where we’ll be making decorations and getting into the Christmas spirit.
Join us for lunch
As we start the countdown to the Christmas holidays, we’d like to invite residents to join us to celebrate.
On Saturday 21 December, Pristine Eats will be providing festive fare at the cafe on Copperwood Place. If you’re interested in coming along, pop into the cafe for more information.
The PRC and Pristine Eats are also working together on a Christmas winter market food giveaway. The final details are still being organised, but look out for posters on the noticeboard in the cafe.

We know there has been some confusion about whether phase 1-4 residents are able to use the amenity space. We had planned to make this available to everyone from September, but some last minute hitches mean we’ve been unable to do this. We’re hoping to be able to do this soon, and will contact residents in the new year to let you know more about prices and booking processes.

Building Safety update
Garden Row, St James House, Regents House, Kew House, Richmond House, Gentian Row
Since our November update, our negotiations with Rydon have continued. Once the final details are agreed, both parties will sign what’s known as a Remediation Settlement Agreement (RSA). It’s at that point that we’ll be in contract with Rydon for the external remedial work.
We remain committed to doing everything we can to reach agreement with Rydon and had hoped to be in contract by now. However, despite our efforts to progress things at pace, agreement hasn’t yet been reached.
As we told you, the programme will be coordinated in a phased programme. Just to remind you, this will be starting with the buildings that do not require an application to the Building Safety Regulator (BSR):
Garden Row Gentian Row St James House
And then move on to the buildings that do require a BSR application:
Kew House Regents House Richmond House
As we outlined previously, the start on site is all subject to the RSA being formalised, so it is likely that the current target date of February 2025 will move.
Once we have the confirmed final programme in hand for all the buildings, including those requiring a BSR application we will share the details with you. This will include a confirmed start date for each building. Please visit www.peabody.org.uk/parkside for further information.
