New concierge and amenity space
Residents at Parkside will soon be enjoying new reception and concierge facilities as work is almost complete
The new facilities will complement a new amenity space, with will be available for residents to use to relax in, work from, and enjoy
We are expecting that the new space will be handed over to us in the coming weeks and fully operational soon after We will start taking bookings once we have a confirmed date.
The picture on the right shows an artists impression of what the space could look like. This may change during the fit out process, but we’re sure you’ll agree it will be a striking addition to the development.
Fun in the sun

Residents across all buildings, including our new neighbours from Snowberry House, joined together on Saturday 27 July to welcome the cafe operators Pristine Eats to Parkside on a full-time basis.
Hosted by the Parkside Residents Collective (see page 2), the event allowed residents to get together and enjoy tasty Caribbean food from the cafe, which won the contract to provide their service to residents on a full-time basis. Colleagues from Peabody were invited to the event to launch the summer activity programme (see page 3)
The day wasn’t just about the food though, with residents being treated to a dog show, as well as being about to check out the wares of a number of craft and art stalls from local providers Children (and a few adults!) were encouraged to have their face painted, while a magician astounded the crowds with tricks and illusions.
Pablo Cazar, Assistant Director at Peabody said: “It was a pleasure to join the PRC and other Parkside residents on a lovely sunny day in Lewisham, and great to see everyone having fun together
“From a personal point of view, I really enjoyed trying the fabulous food from Pristine Eats, and I’m sure that residents will be flocking there to try it out.”

Welcome to our new Fire safety coordinators
Two fire safety engagement co-ordinators (FSECs), Cortier Morgan (pictured) and Janet Buah, have recently been appointed to keep residents updated on the building safety remediation programme at Parkside Cortier is already providing support and Janet will join him in the next few weeks
As well as providing regular updates, Cortier and Janet are here to help if you have any questions about the work that’s being carried out They’re both spending time on-site, getting to know Parkside, the work that’s being delivered, and developing relationships with our contractors. They’re also really keen to get to know residents and we’ll keep you posted on opportunities to meet them in person. In the meantime, please feel free to contact them by email at ParksideRemedialWorks@peabody.org.uk.
Finally, a reminder that you can keep up-to-date with the remedial programme on the Parkside web page www peabody org uk/parkside
Your local Parkside team
With the continued growth of Parkside, we’ve also grown our team to be able to respond to the needs of residents
Parkside now has two Neighbourhood Managers. Kerry-Ann Waldo is responsible for phases 1-4, and Bianca Wallace who has recently joined the team to work with residents in the later phases of the estate Together, Kerry-Ann and Bianca are responsible for estate and property inspections, and actively work with residents in the management of their home, developing and improving Peabody’s service to them and ensuring we take full account of residents’ needs. They are able to direct residents to the most effective place to report things like repairs in their home, or maintenance needs around the estate
Kerry-Ann and Bianca are supported in their roles by Mitchell Griggs, who leads on Estate Services, such as gardening and caretaking, as well as the concierge team, led by Jorge Chavez Verlade.
You can drop into the concierge office at any time Currently, Kerry-Ann and Bianca hold drop-in surgeries at Parkside, but we will shortly be setting up a system where you will be able to book personal appointments directly with them to talk about any tenancy issues that you may have As soon as we’re ready to go live, we’ll let you know more about this. For the time being, if you need to speak to either of your Neighbourhood Managers, you can drop in to the community centre every Tuesday from 10am

The Parkside Resident Collective
Residents at Parkside have their own group of representatives - the Parkside Resident’s Collectivewhich works with Peabody to make sure that the voices of residents are heard.
