Welcome fellow breeders, It is hard to believe! Already our 3rd annual bull sale at Paynton, SK. After two years, we are still bringing to the north calves off of CSS Navigator Jr. as well as the old boy, Navigator. We now are bringing you calves off of sons of both Navigator and Navigator Jr. The young gun of the herd, HTA Thor, has stepped up and taken his place in the bull battery. This year we have also decided to bring in to the mix some bulls that will have calves in both the north and south sales.

We are seeing exceptionally high cash prices for fats in the U.S. Something that has never been seen before $1.44 plus on the rail, unheard of! I haven’t heard the word record breaking but the price being paid for calves in the fall of 2013 was terrific. When chatting with sale barn managers, they couldn’t say enough about the fact that producers are finally being paid extra for the top notch calves. One stated that these calves from top notch bulls were bringing a premium of 10 - 20 cents per pound. Quality paid off!

He said that producers using top bulls were getting paid exceptional amounts for their calves to go into the feed lots.

We feel in 2014 that we are offering you an exceptional set of bulls. Bred and fed to grow to their best potential and be able to breed cows the first year. Our bulls have great feet and are very athletic, a product you will enjoy when they run out to meet the cow herd.

I feel that with the North of the 53rd Sale, we have established a brand new set of friends who make their living in the cattle industry. We look forward to seeing everyone at our 3rd annual bull sale , held at the CSS Sale Barn on March 22,2014. We are always open for calls and hope to see and talk to everyone on Saturday. The North of the 53rd Bull Sale again encompasses two things that are very important when buying bulls, the quality of the product and the people who are raising them. The quality of the bulls is once again excellent with bulls that are sound to get out and breed the cows and then calve well and produce a good performance animal for you to market. The bulls this year have lots of hair and meat with many of the same genetics that have been offered in this sale barn for many years. There is complete, accurate performance data from birth to sale day along with ultrasound results and some Leptin testing for those looking for that. Repeat customers are a sign that the program works and there are many here.

With the strength of the cattle market at all levels and the long term future that it should have, you should be buying as good a bull as you can to improve the quality and pounds that you sell in the future.
