Welcome to another Impact Bull Sale. What a trying year 2019 has been, but I guess the good news is there will be two harvests in 2020…LOL. The bulls are down in quantity, but I feel the quality is as good as ever. Be it black or red, there are very few bulls here I wouldn’t use on heifers but have enough jam to use on cows. Being that money and cash flow in my area and others is tight due to crop in the field, if anyone needs extra financing please don’t hesitate to call. As well I will feed at no charge until you need the bull.

It started off being so dry in our area that the crops and grass wouldn’t grow. So, this means we fed the cows at home until around June 10th, this is when we were pretty well out of feed. Then at the end of June, when we started to get some rain, things sure perked up in our area and optimism was looking good. Both the crops and grass really started to gain some ground. The crop yields at the start of harvest were better than I was expecting and everything was going according to plan! Then Mother Nature threw a kink into my plans with an early snowfall in September thus leaving most of the people in this area with about 25% of their crop out.

Now about the bull offering, we are very pleased with the three different sire groups we have: Herbster Chairman 512, Bushs Cover Shot 107 and Peak Dot Tour of Duty 20C. The bull calves on offer were weaned the first week of October with some nice weaning weights. No matter what type of bull you are looking for, there will be a bull that is available to suit your needs. There is calving ease bulls, power bulls and all-round, damn good bulls that will do it all for you!

From The Desk At T Bar...

Welcome to the 12th Annual Impact Angus and Charolais Bull Sale, March 28, 2020 at Saskatoon Livestock Sales on Highway 14, just minutes out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Twelve years ago, these young breeding operations got together, as they saw a need for a multi-breed sale to service the central sector of the province. Due to their foresight and the quality of their programs, their bulls have sold from the Atlantic to the Pacific over the past eleven sales.

The “Impact Bull Sale” is a unique event as it provides bulls from three sought after breeds by the commercial sector. Red Angus, Black Angus and Charolais. The Angus portion of the sale will offer calving ease for the most part without sacrificing performance and most importantly, will give you high maternal traits for the replacements going back into your herd.

The Charolais influence will give you performance from weaning to the kill floor and mated to Angus, the result is a tan or silver…the calves that top the marketplace for stockers and feeders.

J&S operate a very large farming unit which includes grain and cattle. Always on the go, Jason had a trying few months as his immediate area was drought stricken. But they have a cow herd that can take roughage under all types of conditions…an Angus herd of cattle.

The Triple L portion of the sale is made up of both Red and Black Angus. Randy’s focus has always been calving ease and his repeat customer base confirms that fact. Randy is a spark plug in the Angus breed, very voluntary and involved in 4-H, youth and association activities.

In the last decade, the McAvoy Family has made great strides in the Charolais breed. Their program is highly sought-after by their commercial base of customers and their competitiveness has resulted in many successful purebred breeder purchases.

Financing Terms are Available for Prior Arrangements Only...

Example: A bull who will add 30 lbs. to the weaning weight of each of his calves, mated to 25 cows per year for 4 years, and you sell his calves for $1.00 per pound. 30 lbs x 25 cows= 750 x 4 years = 3000 x $1.00/lbs. = $3,000.00 This bull is worth $3,000.00 more than the average bull who will keep your weaning weights the same. Take this formula and put your own figures in and see what you can afford to pay. This equation does not take into consideration the increase in value due to calving ease, higher quality replacement heifers, yearling growth, feedlot gain and improved carcass quality.

Certificate of Registration: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Angus Association or Canadian Charolais Association, unless otherwise specified. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

Pedigree Estimates Pedigree Estimates (PE) are created on the projected mating of the animal’s sire and dam based on averages of the two, creating estimated values that do not hold the same accuracy of actual EPDs issued from the association and should be used as such.

Health: All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.

Liabilities: All persons attend the sale at their own risk. the sellers, facility owner, auctioneer and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood that T Bar C Cattle Co. (2013) Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations. Neither does T Bar C Cattle Co.
