Welcome to our 16th Annual Bull Sale WOW time does fly, seems like we just started this program. 2017 what a year – record calf prices, flooded fields, unseeded acres, injuries and accidents. We would like to say thank you too all of our valued customers that have supported our program over the years. I would also like too give a special thank you to the great people who came to the rescue when I was in trouble last spring and though Dad’s accident. Wouldn’t be here without you. At Diamond W, our goals remain to produce sound functional cattle, with hair, meat and muscle, that are bred to calve easily while maximizing productivity. Our success depends on yours, so we will work hard to keep you satisfied and looked after before and after the sale. This pen of bulls bar none is the best we have ever produced. I know that Dad would be proud of them. They are very consistent for type and style. They are a sound, functional, great group with a bull for every‐ one, no matter the colour of your cow base. There are a number of breeder quality bulls in both breeds that in the past have been a bargain as the season goes on and they truly deserve your full attention. This is the 16th year the Walkers have been bringing their quality offering to Minitonas. Over the past 40 years they have consistently produced a solid product that will go out and work at all levels of the industry. They have used the best bulls by A.I. and as walking bulls that they could find to compliment the productive cowherd they have. There are some definite breeder bulls here and something for everyone no matter what your program is. With the number of repeat and loyal customers, you know the bulls have been working and the Walkers are good to work with. Orland knows his cattle very well and if you want to discuss what will work for you, just give him a call. The bulls have been very affordable, with dollars for quality, as good as you will find anywhere. The Charolais bulls will not give you any problems and will add extra pounds at weaning as they have always strived to produce high performance bulls. The Angus bulls again will work at any level producing some great British influence females and many will work in your heifer pen or on the cowherd. The Charolais Angus cross has been and will continue to be the industry standard, down the road. The catalogue is in sire groups, so if you are looking for multiple bulls to add consistency to your calf crop, that has been made more convenient for you. You are welcome to tour the bulls at the farm at Hudson Bay any time prior to the sale and then if you can’t attend sale day, you can bid online with DLMS.ca. All bulls are measured and semen tested within 30 days of the sale. This information is freely available to you. All bulls have current weight and their performance information is provided.

No Room If it is at all possible to take your bull home sale day, we would really appreciate it. If you simply can’t, don’t worry. We can take the yearling bulls home and care for them at no cost until May 1. These bulls must be insured. Two year old bulls will be delivered as soon as possible after the sale.

Delivery Yes, we can deliver your bull. Delivery is $75, or deduct $50 from the purchase price if you take your bull home sale day.

Announcements: Announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are cautioned to pay close attention to announcements. Purchaser’s Risk: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. All animals left with the seller must be insured. Certificate of Registration: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer after payment has been made. Delivery: Assistance will be given in making delivery after the sale. The purchaser agrees shipping arrangements will be at the convenience of the seller, but will be as soon as practical after the sale, at the buyer’s risk. Breeder Guarantee - Bulls: Should any bull fourteen months of age or over, fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in

writing to the seller within six months following the date of purchase or six months after the bull has reached fourteen months of age. The seller has the right and privilege of six months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze. Exception Guarantee: In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproductive techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void. The seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been sold or for sickness not apparent at sale time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price. Accidents: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the sale manager, auctioneer, or sellers assume any responsibility and disclaim any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of accident or loss of property. By Livestock is only acting as a medium between the buyer and seller and is not responsible for failure on the part of either party to live up to their obligations; or for the truth of any warrantees or representations, expressed or implied. By Livestock assumes no obligation to enforce or collect monies between parties. By Livestock assumes no responsibility for any credit extended by the seller to the buyer. Any legal action taken in exceptional cases must be between the buyer and the seller. The buyer must look to the seller for fulfilment of all guarantees and representations. Insurance: Insurance will be available sale day. Pictures: By attending the sale you are granting permission for your picture to be used for promotional and advertising purposes relating to the sale.
