This year has been nothing but interesting with Covid-19, the good thing is it hasn’t slowed the need for adding good bulls and females to herds. Welcome to the second edition of the Sharing Our Genetics sale. We are excited to join the folks at Wrangler Charolais for this excellent event. What a year 2020 has been, for most it has been a struggle, but for a few it has been a strong year. With many parts of the west getting early rain this year, crops as well as the grass took off. Even though the grass is drying up, many ranchers were able to get a solid hay crop. The early rain has also prolonged the amount of time cows have been able to stay on grass, allowing for a much-needed break from feeding cows. As we enter fall and calves are starting to come off cows, we can see that Charcross calves are very much in demand in the feed-yard. What better way to capitalize on that demand than to pick up some purebred females that have the ability to raise powerful bulls for the commercial buyer? We believe that is what we are bringng to town this year; a solid group of cows that have the ability to raise that powerful bull calf or give you a fancy productive heifer calf, as evidenced by the cow-calf pairs on offer. We have tailored our program to fit the commercial man’s needs, breeding cattle that are going to hit the ground running and put on pounds. These cows are bred to bulls that are going to calve easy and the calves are going to grow. The PH PERSONNA 38D bull has been a solid producer here giving us an average birth weight of ninety-eight pounds and the calves go out and push the scale in the fall. His first daughters will milk this coming spring and we are sure that they will lay down beautiful udders as evidenced by his paternal sister that we purchased a few years ago. HVA HIGH TIDE 83F is an extremely long bull that carries plenty of mass. Performance is in his DNA. He weaned from his first calver dam at 1100 pounds and as a two-year old he weighed 2400 pounds. The bred heifers are bred to calving ease sires SOS ECLIPSE 83E, a Kingston son who we have successfully used on heifers, as well as STEPPLER MARVEL 118G, a Winchester son we bought this spring that we are expecting big things from. Welcome to the 2nd Sharing Our Genetics sale. This year Coyote Flats Charolais is joining Wrangler Charolais to bring you another top set of females. The quality from both operations runs deep and they are putting forth an excellent set of cattle from the top of their programs. As you can see in the pedigrees and the breeding information, these cattle have solid, productive pedigrees they would not be selling if they thought they wouldn’t work for you the buyer. They have invested a lot of money in some great herdsires that are represented here. After picturing the sale offering, I know you will be impressed with the consistency in type, the good feet and legs and udder quality. The accurate breeding information allows you to buy with confidence from guys that will stand behind their product and they have many repeat bull customers that attest to this fact. From proven producers, some with the production at side, to bred heifers that will fit in the top end of any program, to some fancy heifer calves, there is something for everyone here. All settlements must be made with the sale clerks before cattle will be released. The right of property will not pass until final payment is made. biDDiNg: Each animal will sell to the highest bidder. Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone their bids and instructions to the sale manager, auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale. DiSPuteS: Bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision is final. ANNOuNCeMeNtS: Announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are cautioned to pay close attention to announcements. PurChASer’S riSK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. All animals left with the seller must be insured. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer after payment has been made. breeDer guArANtee – feMAleS: As per the Canadian Charolais Association Code of Ethics, copies available at the settlement desk can picked up by the buyer at any time. eXCePtiON guArANtee: In case where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproductive techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void. The seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been sold or for sickness not apparent at sale time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price.
