Welcome to this year’s sale! On behalf of our family, we would like to thank everyone who bid, bought or attended last year’s sale, making it a huge success. This year’s offering is one of our most consistent in size, type and quality! The bulls are sound, correct and have great temperaments. We stress calving ease, temperament and soundness when we select bulls, and we feel it has passed on through our cow herd. Certainly you can see it in our bull sale offering. If we can be of any help selecting your bull, feel free to call or stop by the farm and see the bulls prior to the sale! Chillin has been a favourite since birth. He shows exceptional muscle expression in a nice smooth package. He is very correct and his disposition can’t be beat. Besides being out of Divergent, the added bonus is his mother. Wow, what a female! She knocked it out of the park on her first calf from ledger last year and Chillin proves that was no fluke. She is the deepest bodied, smoothest female in the herd. She has great feet and a great udder. Check him out!

We don’t usually keep horned bulls around but 515C is too good not to bring to town. He is complete. Quiet, correct, smooth and low birth weight. He will be a great herd bull. His mother is a great cow here with a tremendous udder, moderate frame and correct. His full sister was our high selling female in the Sterling Sale this past fall.

Another great young son of Divergent 104Y. Performance is what you get no matter what you cross his mother on. Last year, her Roundup son was our heaviest bull and 528C carries that growth in him. Yes he is young but don’t pass him over. The pounds he carries for his age is truly impressive. Calving ease and performance – a great combination, but hard to find! His half brother sold Nielsons at Melfort last year.

517C is a super correct smooth son of our Sparrow’s herdsire. Divergent is a ¾ brother to the great Kingston bull that is taking the breed by storm. 104Y daughters are phenomenal. Moderate, correct and heavy milking with near perfect udders. 517C would work on heifers or cows. 442P continues to produce at a top level. Last year’s bull sold to Spray Brothers and was very popular at the sale. She never misses and 517C might be the best one yet. HOMO POLLED TEST PENDING.

This young bull is possibly the deepest bull in the pen. His muscle expression and haircoat make him stand out in the pen. A great young sire that will work on any cow herd. A real tank of a bull. Don’t let his young age fool you – he is a great individual. 927W is a heavy milking, sweet fronted female that brings in a heavy calf every year.

530C is an April bull but he shows all the signs of being a very good herdsire. He has calving ease built in to his pedigree and would be great insurance to have in the pen. Last year’s half brother sold to Rob McLean at Foam Lake and was one our high sellers. HOMO POLLED TEST PENDING.

If you want calving ease, 507C is the bull for you. He is long, correct and deep sided. Low birthweights are everywhere in his pedigree. Sleep easy with this herdbull! Fertility and soundness are features of this young sire that will work on any size cow or heifer.

Apollo is easy to have around. He is super quiet and athletic. 523C is sure to be a herd bull that leaves his mark on whatever herd he walks. His daughters will be outstanding – attractive, smooth, moderate with perfect udders and feet. His sons will be marketable and popular with all cattlemen. The 8X cow is typical of the Alcatraz females. The right size with unbeatable feet and legs with great udders. Her Divergent son in last year’s sale was a high seller to Brian Ormiston in Ontario.
