This sale has garnered a reputation for offering high quality Charolais breeding stock and this year’s offering is bigger and better than ever. When I toured the consignor’s operation and did the pictures for the sale I gained a greater understanding of the commitment these breeders have to the breed and the industry. There are members in this sale that have decades of experience, to some that are relatively new to the purebred industry, but know what they need to do to produce top quality genetics that will go on and work for their new owners. There is something for everyone here from fancy show prospect heifer calves, to some exciting herdsire prospects, to bred heifers and cows that would be a great base for a new breeder, to fitting in the top end of an existing purebred herd. Much of the offering is sired by or bred to top AI sires, including some embryo transplant offspring, that are among the best in the industry. Dear Charolais Friends, The 2017 sale marks the 8th annual Autumn Prestige Sale. Through the years we have made some slight changes to the sale line up. This year marks our biggest and most productive change in anticipation of creating a bigger and better sale for you, our valued clients. Josh and Anne-Marie Taylor of Taylor Farms have become one of our group members. The youth, enthusiasm and knowledge of the Charolais industry they bring is very much welcomed. This year we would also like to welcome Dylan Trotter of Cooper Charolais, and Charles and Maryjo Connell of Double C Ranch, to our guest consignors list. Our biggest change comes in welcoming By Livestock to manage our sale. We are excited to have Helge, Candace and the crew on board. I write this chairman address on the day when the hype of the solar eclipse is happening. Purchaser’s Risk: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. All animals left with the seller must be insured. Certificate of Registration: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer after payment has been made. Breeder Guarantee – Females: As per the Canadian Charolais Association Code of Ethics, copies available at the settlement desk can picked up by the buyer at any time. Exception Guarantee: In case where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproductive techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void. The seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been sold or for sickness not apparent at sale time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price.
