Kirlene Cattle
A Note from Kirlene Cattle... This is Kirlene Cattle's 15th year in the Purebred business. We are honoured to be a part of the Charolais cattle industry. Over the past few years we have come to cherish the friendships and business partners we have worked beside at the many fairs, meetings and sales Kirlene Cattle has been involved in. Kirlene Cattle continues to make breeding selections that would benefit its buyers and home herd with improvements in calving ease, performance, and eye appeal without giving up milk and maternal qualities. We believe Kirlene Cattle has acheived this again for the 2012 year.

Potter Charolais
A Note from Potter Charolais... Potter Charolais are located 600 kms straight north of Toronto in the Little Claybelt farming region around New Liskeard, Ontario. Our focus remains easy calving performance cattle for our local bull market. The cow herd is anchored by some wonderfully uddered females out of Rio Blanco, great hair coats from Sparrows Vintage, and the performance and style of Havana. We are a family operation. Our two girls, Emily and Sally will be showing at the National Junior Heifer show at the Royal as part of Temiskaming District. Wyatt has retired from hockey this year, and is a tremendous help with the cropping operation.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to inject high fertility in your herd. She is out of one of two bulls we used out of Beck’s Neon. Windyview Farm A Note from Windyview Farm... When a Charolais heifer was purchased in 1971 this would be the start of what we now all know today as Windyview Farm. The goals at Windyview Farm are to raise quality, show ready Charolais, that are easy to keep and easy to handle. The lots we’ve selected for this years sale exemplify the goals laid out and we hope you too, the bidders and buyers, have these goals in common. This year brings us the first crop of calves from our new red factored herdsire which we’ve carefully selected from. We are also pleased to round off our offerings with a heifer from our AI program. We hope you can find a place for these select animals in your herd and make use of some of Windyview Farm’s very best quality animals. We would also like to mention that we understand in parts of Ontario the growing conditions have been less than ideal this past year, and if necessary, we would be happy to negotiate winter feeding and stabling of your purchased animal.

It wasn't easy selecting a cow like this for the sale but the pair (with her calf) made such a good combination splitting the two didn't make sense. What makes a great cow is what Romy is made with and has made herself: great bone structure and a great calf at side.

The best marketing for our herd is to give up some of our very best from the calf crop and we bring you Windyview Zipo. Born from our newest herdsire we really love this stout heifer calf with the way she shows the excellent traits from her dam but also falls in line with the consistency and quality from her sire. A sure fit for any breeding program to bring quality and production.

Land O’Lakes A Note from Land O’Lakes... At Land O' Lakes, we believe we have an excellent offering again this year. It is the result of many years of selective breeding using the best A.I. and natural sires available to us. We have always focused on performance and continue to do so. In 2007, we produced the top bull all breeds in the Beef Builder Economic Index. We have been able to really expand the influence of the maternal lines by using embryo transplants to increase the female base and by selecting sons from our top donor cows for natural use. This year we chose to use in our breeding program SVY KABOOM PLD 7113T. A Kaboom heifer calf was National Junior Heifer Calf Champion and high selling heifer calf in the National Sale last fall. We also chose for our breeding program, TR PZC MR TURTON 0794 ET, the U.S. National Champion out of TR MR FIRE WATER 5792R ET and THOMAS MS IMPRESSIVE 0641.
We are offering 3 heifers from our fall calving cows and 3 from spring calvers. Havana’s Sire: LT Wyoming Wind Havana’s Dam: Land O’Lakes Ms Cigar 5R 5R's sire LHD Cigar has been a trait leader in the U.S. for many years. 5R's dam is out of the Connie Cow family, a very productive line from the Land O'Lakes. 93H is from the same maternal line as our primary donor cow, Crystal 14C.

Amabec Charolais A Note from Amabec Charolais... We have been here on our “hill top” for 39 years. When we began farming we raised hereford/ holstein cross females, bred to good charolais bulls. The sale barn buyers liked our tan cross calves. We also fattened steers. When our daughters entered the 4-H program we bought two purebred charolais foundation cows and began our purebred herd. Our eldest daughter didn’t enter the 4-H program until she was 16, and enjoyed one year of experiencing all the program had to offer and then chose to be a helping hand with our herd instead of a 4-H’er. Our youngest daughter was a 4-H member for eleven years and thoroughly enjoyed the competitions and showmanship Our farm has helped many young 4-H members to start their 4-H careers and we always enjoyed helping them; and also watching the nail biting parents proudly watching them from the sidelines at the first fairs. As time passes our reward is having them come to visit and keep us involved in their lives..Through the years we have raised and bred the females that we think identifies us with the excellent herd that we are proud of. Please come and talk with us, we always enjoy conversation and showing the products of our labour.

Mirabelle is a powerful heifer that is catching the eye of everyone who sees her. With future donor potential we can not say enough good things about this heifer. Her natural muscle expression and thickness says it all about the possiblities this heifer has, being able to produce cattle that are sure to work in both rings. Having sold previous Mirabelle daughters in the past this will be one of the last daughters to sell as we no longer want to part with this wonderful cow family. This stylish fancy female holds great potential and is sure to enhance any cow herd. Her half sister was the mother of Echo Springs Yagerbomb 11Y who was Reserve Champion Bull calf at the Royal and Reserve Grand Champion bull at the Erin fair charlais BOSS show. He went on further to be the high selling bull at the High Point Charolais Bull Sale. This is only a glimpse of what this cow family is capable of.
