Message from CEO Welcome In positive news the PCYC Emergency Services Cadets (ESC) program has been funded for a further three years by Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, with the recent announcement of a further $2 million commitment till 2024. Congratulations to the ESC team for hosting the Brisbane Cadet Games at PCYC Sandgate on 19th June involving 162 cadets from across the state, we look forward to the Townsville Cadet Games at PCYC Townsville on 17th July. As the Check In Qld app is now mandatory in gyms and recreation facilities, please be reminded that ALL staff, visitors and members to PCYC Queensland clubs must sign in using the new QR codes provided.

PCYC Queensland Corporate Golf Day PCYC Queensland held its annual Corporate Charity Golf Day in May at McLeod Country Golf Club in Mount Ommaney, with 20 corporate teams and sponsors joining us on the day. Thanks go to Major Sponsors BDO and Sci-Fleet for their ongoing support, Hole Sponsors Austbrush, Schweppes, Life Fitness, BMS Group and JACL Enterprises, and to all our staff and volunteers who helped deliver another great day raising funds for PCYC Queensland. Thanks also go to prize donors for providing great raffle prizes and giveaways on the day, including from Brisbane Racing Club, Pandora, Brisbane Broncos and Queensland Reds, Free 2 Travel, Sit Down Comedy Club, Lavazza Coffee and Deep Grey Photography. A great day was had by all, with the Safety Australia Group team the winners on the day!

Congratulations to PCYC Mount Isa for taking out several awards at the 7th Mount Isa Community Services Ball! Chillin’ in the Park won the Community Services Event of the Year, Senior Constable Aimee Sewell was awarded the Outstanding Community Worker of the Year, and volunteer Margie Rogers was awarded the Community Services Customer Service Award.
