On Tuesday, March 13th, a crowd gathered at Countryside High School to celebrate Pinellas County’s eight newest K9 teams’ graduation from Basic Patrol K9 Operations School. Sheriff Bob Gualtieri presented diplomas to the graduates, which included three PCSO teams: Corporal Paul Martin & K9 Guinness, Deputy Wyeth Whitehurst & K9 Devon, and Deputy Johnathan Harr & K9 Tyson. The new teams showed off their new tricks alongside K9 Unit veterans in a series of demonstrations, including a car bomb search, agility, attack, and recall scenarios, a helicopter deployment, and a parade of K9 cruisers.
