Weekly UK focused series On 13 May we covered liquidity planning for HNW clients in the very first of our weekly UK focused webinars. This was an incredibly timely topic as many entrepreneurs are currently in the process of reviewing their cashflow position in light of COVID-19. We were joined by Alan Kinnaird, Senior Private Banker for Kleinwort Hambros, and Ian Philpot, Head of Credit Advisory, as they discussed the opportunities for private clients to analyse their financial position in the current conditions. As this series progressed over the month of May, we also explored tax and immigration issues and opportunities for those wishing to come to the UK with Elena Hinchin and Claire Randall at Farrer & Co; discussed wealth planning trends in Italy with Nicola Saccardo at Maisto e Associati and Anna Steward at Sequent; looked at the impact of COVID-19 on the aviation sector from a variety of perspectives with experts Adam Twidell at Private Fly, Tim Barber at Duncan Aviation and Nic Arnold at PwC. Next up we will be exploring trends, valuations and disputes in real estate at 14:00 BST on 3 June.

US & Canada Series We partnered with Katten & Range Developments to bring you a US & Canada Series designed to support PCD members with clients interested in relocating to the US. It was part of the launch of a US & Canada series, focused on topics including international estate planning, succession and governance, family office trends, relocation and mobility. The second episode will explore UK/US succession planning and will be available for members only at 16:00 BST on 23 June.

A real pleasure to meet English former professional rugby footballer Martin Offiah MBE in our very first episode!

As you can see, we are always keeping busy here at PCD Club, working on new ways to create value for sponsors and members. We'll be posting all of our upcoming PCD Webinars online - just keep an eye on our events calendar, exactly like you used to! David Bell.

•WFH DIARIES•

WFH Diaries Note to future self: Don't "privately" message your work colleague with a commentary of Tiger King as you binge watch Netflix during a 3-hour business review meeting... Zoom likes to think it's being helpful by keeping a record of anything sent via the chat function during a call and packaging it into the minutes folder. Thank goodness my boss recognised the comedic value of my messages. - Anon. Four-year-old son has a new-found obsession for spinning around aimlessly in the kitchen, which also happens to be my office these days. Delivering a pitch to the board of directors and one of my overly enthusiastic hand gestures accidentally slaps him round the face mid-spin and sends him hurtling into the cupboard door. "Can we just take a quick break please?" - Anon. I live on a farm in the middle of the countryside and that means we are often visited by friendly rodents looking for somewhere warm to stay the night. Usually fine. Not okay when a rat trots along the radiator directly behind me with my (clean) underwear in tow while I'm on a video conference with a client! What a day to finally have a crystal clear Wi-Fi connection. - Anon. Last month we published results from our COVID-19 Business Continuity Survey which revealed that 65% of members have turned to video conferencing to communicate with clients so we expect these members' stories aren't the only ones!

Meet our Members: Alice Quek How has your business adapted in light of the COVID-19 crisis? Most of our HNW clients prefer face to face interactions, as this is typical in Asian cultures. We see opportunities to deepen our existing relationships and review our clients’ needs which may have changed over the years.
