A’RCOPEDICO® echoes the premise of its founder: to develop a sole that better supports the foot arch, as this is the main sustainer of the spine.

The Star Shoes project analyzed feet globally to improve footwear design, in collaboration with the University of Porto’s Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (INEGI).

As a result of the Star Shoes project, the Dynamic Boost Formula was created. The concept behind it was to design a structure that connects key points on the shoe requiring stability (such as the heel and arch).

ARCO® is a new brand of ergonomic footwear designed for performance, backed by scientific features and approvals. It’s unisex and eco-friendly.

ARCO, engineered and designed by ARCOPEDICO® ARCO® is the evolution of A’RCOPEDICO’s legacy and expertise.

In 2016, the company conducted a global study involving over 2,500 footwear consumers across 19 countries and 4 continents, leading to the development of a technology that fits 90% of the world’s feet. Study conducted in collaboration with the Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of the University of Porto (INEGI).

This research supports ARCO’s mission to provide the best walking experience. The brand is built on exclusive technology with a pending patent application (Nr 119653), which protects the invention from being copied during the review process.

ARCOPEDICO® A’RCOPEDICO® is a footwear brand own by ROPAR, S.A., with headquarters in Vila do Conde, Portugal. Since 1966, the brand has been conquering thousands of consumers around the world due to its universal language of Comfort. A’RCOPEDICO® means tradition, technology and nature.

Elio Parodi, born in Italy in 1914, graduated in Biological Medicine and Mechanical Engineering. A natural inventor, his most notable creation was A’RCOPEDICO® footwear. The brand reflects his vision: an orthopedic sole with a twin arch system designed to support the foot correctly, offering 100% proven comfort.

The first models produced were classic knit shoes, featuring the twin arch support system and a breathable mesh upper.

The design and production of ergonomic footwear is certified with the quality label SGQ-ISO9001 / 2015, maintaining the traditional character of manufacture with outstanding workmanship, allied to modern technological equipment’s.

A’RCOPEDICO® is currently present in more than 40 countries, where the word avantgarde has always accompanied the brand’s history.

Specialized density absorbs pressure and fits 90% of users for natural, all-day comfort.

Hybrid-Air Insole System: an insole made of materials that combine moisture absorption and desorption system, with the ability to regenerate air and to regulate temperature inside the footwear. Made with 60% recycled post-consumer materials.

Shield Foam Midsole: Ultra-lightweight design delivers perfect balance and full-body support. Distributes pressure evenly and enhances responsiveness for smooth, natural movement. Connects all key components.
