About PBJ Designhouse Since 1968, PBJ Designhouse has united Danish design tradition with fine craftsmanship and modern functionality. It has always been a Danish family company, with deep roots in Danish design heritage and a passion for quality craftsmanship. PBJ develop, design, and manufacture all furniture in-house, ensuring consistently high quality and full control over the entire process – from concept to finished product. PBJ is known for making modern home furniture inspired by classic Danish design, and w also expands into commercial interiors. As workplaces and hospitality spaces embrace home-like aesthetics, PBJ adapts its classics for lounges, conference rooms, and restaurants. Each piece meets strict sustainability standards, including testing of surfaces, durability and strengths. DURABLE FURNITURE Our range of furniture is developed with respect for our nature and we are focussed on doing our best to incorporate sustainability into all processes. MATERIALS Wood Our selection of wood is always the best quality. Which means that the wood must have the correct humidity levels, fewest possible knots and of course come from state approved forestry, that is why we use FSC certified wood. The reason for producing furniture with veneered surfaces is twofold. Firstly, it reduces the use of solid timber whereby conserving the natural resources. Secondly, the chipboard or MDF that the veneerer is applied onto is made from recycled wood which is better for the environment whilst still ensuring a strong and high quality surface. LEATHER With great respect for the environment all our leather is produced under ecologically, sustainable methods and have the eco-tec label. To ensure a maintenance-friendly quality we only use semi aniline leather that has been given a surface treatment that maintains the leather’s natural look and structure. FABRIC In our ranges of covers we offer a wide selection of different types from wool, polyester etc. to fabrics produced from recycled materials which all live up to the high requirements for tear and wear, colourfastness, fading and pilling etc. Our wide selection of colours will suit any home interior as well as any of the many wood finishes that we offer.

Leather We have placed great emphasis on finding suppliers who manufacture leather in a sustainable way. In our range you can choose from beautiful skins of controlled origin that are produced with ecologically sustainable methods. Our leather is all Semi aniline leather with a soft touch and natural look and structure and at the same time more maintenance-friendly. Fabric We always strive to have the finest fabrics from the leading suppliers. We have fabrics produced from recyclable materials, and at the same time live up to our high requirements for wear and tear, fading, etc. In our selection you will easily find a fabric and a colour that suits no matter which chair design you choose and whether you prefer light Nordic woods, or maybe black or walnut.

Grain Grain is a post-consumer recycled polyester bouclé fabric that adds warmth and dimension with a modern and elegant, irregular texture. Grain is fire retardant. Devide Devide is a beautiful Italian wool quality with a perfect melangé effect that adds a touch of classic luxury to any dining room. Fire retardant. Cura Cura is a two-coloured upholstery fabric made from 98% post-consumed recycled polyester. It combines modern performance with a warm, casual aesthetic and a soft, voluminous touch. Fire retardant. Rhythm and Partner Fabric Rhythm and Partner is a true boucle beauty. The tone-in-tone dyed yarns create a full and rich optic sense. The colours are chosen in subtle colour palette with a high-class vibe.
