Here Fishy, Fishy! Join us this summer for the first kids’ lakeside catch-and-release fishing tournament. Kids will compete by age group, with prizes for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place and overall big fish. A parent or guardian must attend. Anglers will need to bring their rod & reels; bait will be provided.
An art in public places program that presents the work of artists year-round in ongoing exhibitions in City facilities. All exhibits and receptions are free and open to the public. Additional receptions may be announced at a later date. Applications are currently being accepted for all venues.

Join us for a shallow water workout! This class is designed to improve flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular endurance all while using the resistance of the water. Shallow water depths provide a cushion to the joints while still providing an awesome workout!

Rental of the Main Pool or Splash Zone reserves the entire area for your party during your allotted time. Main Pool rental includes all Main Pool attractions as well as 6 bistro tables. POOL CORRAL RENTAL
There are two corrals. Both are located inside the Splash Zone area. The Small Corral Rental includes 15 guest admissions to the Main Pool & Splash Zone. Should you need more pool admissions, the Res/Non-Res admission fee will be charged per each additional guest, not to exceed 30 total. The Large Corral Rental includes 25 guest admissions to the Main Pool & Splash Zone. Should you need more pool admissions, the Res/Non-Res admission fee will be charged per additional guest, not to exceed 45 total. All rental fees do not include tax. POOL CABANA RENTAL
There are FIVE cabanas. Two are located inside the Splash Zone area, three are located on the deck of the Main Pool. No admissions are included in the cabana rental and are subject to facility capacity limitations. Each cabana has a table and bench-style seating and two chairs. All rental fees do not include tax.

Students must meet the age requirements and prerequisites prior to the first day of the class they are registered for. Students unable to demonstrate competency of the level prerequisite may be unenrolled from the lesson. Accommodation for registering for the wrong level is not guaranteed.
Aquatics classes must have at least two participants. The Aquatics team will move registrants of classes that do not to another class, issue a refund, or find other accommodations.

REGISTRATION
Palm Beach Gardens Residents will receive a two-week priority window for swim lesson registration before it opens to the public. This priority access will be available for every season of swim lessons, giving you the opportunity to secure spots early. See schedule below.

CLASS SCHEDULES
PRIVATE LESSONS
Available for ages 3 years to adults. Each lesson is 25 minutes long and will pair one swimmer and one instructor. Semi-private lessons are possible, pairing two swimmers and one instructor. The instructor will work at the pace of the swimmer(s) to reach their individual goals, working towards water competency, technique, and water safety.
REFUND/MAKEUP POLICY
Refunds and rescheduling are not available due to personal reasons missed. Classes will not be held under the minimum registration requirement. Weekday makeups for weather cancellations (by the City) will take place on the Friday following the missed class. Weekend make-ups will be conducted following the end of the session. Sessions are complete with 8 classes of 50% of time taught (i.e.: 20 minutes of a level class, 15 minutes of private/preschool).
WATER SAFETY AIDE TRAINING & VOLUNTEERING
Learn how to assist Water Safety Instructors in teaching swim lessons. Participants interested in working or volunteering in the Palm Beach Gardens Learn to Swim Program will be required to apply and interview before being placed as an Aide.
PREREQUISITE: Must be at least 12 years old. Demonstrate American Red Cross Level 5 Learn to Swim skills. Please email aquainfo@pbgfl.gov or call 561.630.1127 for more information regarding volunteer opportunities.
LIFEGUARD
Candidates successfully completing the class will be certified in Lifeguarding, Standard First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Must attend all classes.
PREREQUISITE: Must be able to complete a swim-treadswim sequence successfully: Swim 150 yards continuously using front crawl or breaststroke. After swimming 150 yards, tread for 2 minutes without the use of arms/hands. After maintaining position at the water’s surface for 2 minutes, swim 50 more yards. Must be able to swim 20 yards, submerge and retrieve a 10lb brick, return to the surface, and swim 20 yards back to the starting point within 1 minute and 40 seconds. Lower prerequisites can be applied to Shallow Water Lifeguards.

LIFEGUARD REVIEW

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Recognize specific characteristic behaviors of distressed swimmers and active and passive drowning victims; recognize aquatic emergencies and act promptly and appropriately; perform equipmentbased rescue skills and techniques used by professional lifeguards; recognize and care for possible spinal cord injuries; learn to provide first aid and CPR.
PREREQUISITE: Must be a currently certified American Red Cross Lifeguard or within the 30-day grace period of expiration. Must be able to complete all prerequisites of a Lifeguard upon arrival on the first day of class.

American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Course prepares you to teach people of all ages and abilities to swim and be safe in, on, and around water. Must attend all classes.

At Super Soccer Stars, we use the soccer ball as the vehicle to help children not only improve their soccer skills, but develop self-confidence and physical literacy, improve gross motor skills, and hone socialization skills. Young Modern Quilters with the Palm Beach Modern Quilt Guild
Are you ready to take your stitching to a new level? Join the Mod Squad, an 8-week course designed to elevate your hobby to fine art. Learn about color theory and composition in modern quilting, as well as numerous construction and design techniques, and complex skills such as curved and inset piecing. The goal of this class is for each student to produce at least one wall quilt that will then be submitted to QuiltCon 2025 in the youth category. A favorite of skilled players with limited time. People of various levels play, including some very strong competitors. Formats take ability level into account. FRENZY is just that, continuous feeding and hitting in doubles formation as the pros conduct. Frenzies are very fast-paced and only recommended for stronger players (3.0 and above). If more than one court, pros will divide the group according to ability. Great for doubles tactics and fitness!
CARDIO can be a bit more instructional but is still a very active workout. It’s usually limited to one court with 12 players max. Especially recommended for those returning to the game.

ADULT OPEN PLAY PICKLEBALL OPTIONS
Open play is designed to allow players the opportunity to enjoy, meet others, and work on their game.
BEGINNER ORGANIZED OPEN PLAY is a great way for beginners to learn the game while playing; an instructor will be present to organize gameplay and provide instruction.
ORGANIZED OPEN PLAY features gameplay in a round-robin style format that facilitates play with and against others. A pickleball instructor is present to assign players to courts and coordinate play. These activities are offered at different skill levels to ensure a good time is had by all (2.5-2.9 & 3.0 and Above). These activities are not for beginners. Participants must know the rules and how to keep score. Free to Pickleball Passholders.
OPEN PLAY is meant for recreational purposes and to provide participants with an opportunity to develop and have fun at all skill levels. These Open Play sessions are unsupervised. Participants will be expected to follow general etiquette and paddle rotations for play and always show good sportsmanship. Free to Pickleball Passholders.

PICKLE FRENZY is just that, continuous feeding and hitting in doubles formation as the pros conduct. Frenzies are very fast paced. Participants will play a variety of different games each session. Must have a minimum of four players.

PICKLEBALL-Stroke of the Month Clinic
Each month our certified instructors will lead clinics with a hyper focus on specific skills and strokes. If there’s an aspect of your game that needs work, these are the classes for you. Each session will end with live-ball gameplay to apply the skills addressed.

Most Recreation Department programs offer a resident and a non-resident fee. To be eligible for the discounted resident fees, a participant must reside within incorporated Palm Beach Gardens municipal limits and provide acceptable proof of residency. To check residency status, go to pbgfl.gov/recreation, click on Residency Check icon and enter the address. If your address does not appear, you will be charged nonresident fees.
ONLINE REGISTRATION
The City strongly encourages all participants to familiarize themselves with the online registration site prior to enrollment. Should you need assistance with your username or password, or encounter any problems with online registration, please call 561.630.1100. Acceptable forms of online payment include Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.
