VOLUNTEERING AT PAWMETTO LIFELINE
Gratitude doesn’t feel like a strong enough word to describe the way we feel about our volunteers. Volunteers are the backbone of Pawmetto Lifeline and are vital in the operation of our organization. We rely so heavily on our dedicated army of volunteers to achieve our goal of a no-kill Midlands. Volunteers over 16-years of age can sign up to help in many different areas, including: • Canine & Feline Care • Medical Transport • Special Events Pawmetto Lifeline also offers group volunteering. This can be a great opportunity for teams to help make our building shine with tasks like van washing, building detailing and storage organization. Pawmetto Lifeline is also a great place to fulfill Community Service hours for a club, group or class. Becoming a volunteer is very simple! You can visit our website www.pawmettolifeline.org to enroll in an upcoming volunteer orientation. After this one-hour session, you can sign up online in the area of your interest and start volunteering right away! Volunteer opportunities are available on-site 7-days per week, as well as special events off-site, such as our Pet Soup Food Bank every month on the first Friday. While 2021 has not been without its challenges, we are so thankful for the dedicated volunteers who come in every day to help in so many different aspects of our organization. In 2021, volunteers have donated more than 1,500 hours in many areas including canine & feline care, special events, neonatal nursery, and more! We are proud to announce our 2021 Volunteer of the Year: Dorothy Creighton and Unsung Hero: Pam Walker, and are immensely grateful for their dedication and commitment to the mission of Pawmetto Lifeline. Again, we want to say thank you to all of our current volunteers for their dedication and unwavering commitment to the homeless pets of the Midlands.

“COMING SOON TO A FOREVER HOME NEAR YOU!” Staff had fun dressing up our adoptable cats that free-roam our administrative offices for an officethemed photoshoot! The idea was based on the hit TV show The Office. The pictures were a huge hit on social media and resulted in some great adoptions!
