Greetings in the wonderful Name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Welcome to the 107th Summer Convention of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc in the great city of St. Louis, MO! We are so grateful for your presence and support at our first Summer Convention since 2019. The Lord has promised us great and mighty things, and we are blessed to experience the faithfulness of God to bring us to this point. Mother Brooks and I have been praying for the Lord’s blessings be on each of you on your traveling journey to be with us in St. Louis, and we are so glad that you are here with us! Praise the Lord, God kept us—and for that we are glad! Over the last year, the convention team, auxiliary presidents, and department directors have all worked tirelessly preparing to meet each member, minister, and supporter of our great organization. Understanding the great impact these last few years have brought us in coming to the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been prayerful in every step of our planning process. We sought the Lord for guidance and insight on planning programming that meets the spiritual and personal needs of each attendee. In all that God has done for us, we must keep Christ at the center of our convention gatherings! I believe we should be, and have been, intentional about creating an atmosphere throughout every session and service that welcomes the presence of the Lord to change lives in miraculous ways. When we were just days before our 2019 Summer Convention in Cincinnati, I spent time reflecting on the theme for that year and all that God declared over our lives through the scripture Isaiah 43:19: “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth…” I recall thinking also about surrounding verses and pondering the God of miracles and provision that declared with promise, “I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” And though we may not have ever anticipated the manner of manifestation, we did indeed see the miracles and provisions of God. In 2022, the Lord has spoken over the people of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. with the theme: “Now It Shall Spring Forth: Walking in the Promise”. In Isaiah 54:17, the Lord declares that "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” This is the verse that the Lord gave me as the foundation for this year’s theme. You see, there is a promise in this scripture that we can hold tightly to—not just for us but for the generations that follow us. As the promises of God spring forth in our lives, we must trust that we will see the fulfillment of all that God has spoken concerning out lives, no matter what comes our way. My brothers and sisters, we can and must trust God to keep us and block everything that comes against us that is not in His Divine Will. As we Walk in the Promises of God, we must be assured that no weapon, no trial, no sickness, no heartache, nothing formed against us can stop God from doing His Divine Will in our lives as long as we do that that is right in His sight. I truly believe that now is our time to rise, to flourish in the Will of God, to live in the place of promise and let the devil know that he can’t stop us. Our faith is rooted wholly in God, and He will see us through everything that tries to stop His Will from being done in our lives. Not just for us, but for the generations that NOW IT SHALL SPRING FORTH

2022 WALKING IN THE PROMISE

FROM THE DESK OF THE FIRST ASSISTANT PRESIDING BISHOP BISHOP MARK C. TOLBERT PENTECOSTAL ASSEMBLIES OF THE WORLD, INC.

Praise the Lord to all the Bishop’s of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World and to all My co-laborers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I pray that as we gather in this in-person convention August of 2022 that we will be absent of fear but full of caution. I am not afraid of the devil nor of covid-19, but I am aware of the Scripture in Titus that says: Titus 3:8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. KJV Since we are coming from literally all over the world, we must maintain some social distancing. Those that feel sick should stay home or stay in their room. We should still wash our hands and be careful not to sneeze or cough in the air. Cough or sneeze into a tissue, your sleeve or somewhere not to perpetuate the spread of germs. Be careful to stay as cautious for your own health and the health of your brothers and sisters in Christ. We all want to enjoy the worship and fellowship of the saints and live to go home and testify of the goodness and glorious move of the Holy Ghost. There is a great anticipation in the air. I believe that God is going to pour out fresh anointing to those who avail themselves to pray and seek God. Not just seeking God for a blessing for yourself but praying for a move of God throughout the PAW and the body of Christ. Despite all the movements of our advisory the devil God is still in control. People are searching for answers, and I believe emphatically the church of the living God has the answers. Faith still works, prayer still works, miracles, signs and wonders are still happening among the true believers of God. I believe the church is too quiet about what God is doing. When the church organizes to promote our King (Jesus) and stop worrying about who’s going to get the credit or the notoriety that is when we are going to see the miracles, signs and wonders return to the church like a tsunami. When social media and all the airways are overrun with the greatness of God, we will see a great return of believers and unbelievers running back to the church. I am in great anticipation of that spirit of miracles, signs and wonders being ignited at the summer convention of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World in St. Louis Missouri. God Bless each of you during this 107th convention

2022 WALKING IN THE PROMISE

FROM THE DESK OF THE SECOND ASSISTANT PRESIDING BISHOP BISHOP MICHAEL D. HANNAH, DD PENTECOSTAL ASSEMBLIES OF THE WORLD, INC.

Praise the Lord and Christian greetings to all. It is with great joy that I greet you in the matchless name of Jesus Christ. My testimony to all is “having obtained help of God, we continue to this day.” By God’s grace we have endured the effects of the pandemic. Many of us had to learn new strategies and adjust to continue to effectively minister. Amid the quagmire presented by the pandemic, some had to negotiate health challenges as well; however, our God remains faithful to His Word. We are anticipating seeing many of you in our St. Louis Convention. This is pivotal because we get to worship with one another in person again. Obviously, we will do all to adhere to all safety guidelines but seeing each of you in person is medicinal alone. We are gathering under the theme “Walking in the Promise.” This is a powerful and prophetic theme. The Greek word for promise is epangelia. It is not just a distant expectation. With respect to our God, it is an announcement of intent that is guaranteed by His character. When used of God, it carries the connotation of an assurance of accomplishment. I would like you to meditate upon that for a minute. God loves us so much until He announces and guarantees His blessings upon us. However, let me remind you that we have a part in the receipt of this promise. You may recall that the disciples gathered in the upper room in Jerusalem to wait for the promise from the Father. The Bible is clear in the book of Acts before the Holy Spirit descended, “…they were all with one accord in one place” (Acts 2:1). The phrase “one accord” is the Greek word homothumodon. It is more than just sitting in the same place. This powerful word suggests, the same mind and the same purpose. I challenge each of to you to eliminate confusion, debate and even ambivalence. In place of these emotional states, seek God’s presence sincerely and keep giving Him the glory as our sole objective. If we do so, we will achieve homothumodon. The benefit of this type of unity is a “suddenly.” The result of this unity is an out pour of the Holy Spirit. I believe we will witness not only an emotional move of God, but we will see healing and deliverance in our services. The God of great miracles responds to homothumodon (His people being on one accord). So, let us gather with our main purpose and objective to give God all the praise, glory, and honor. Please know that Lady Hannah and I love you and will love to greet each of you. So, bring your praise and enjoy this wonderful and awesome event. Blessings,

Bishop Michael D. Hannah
