Happy Mother’s and Father’s Day!

It is my pleasure to celebrate and honor our fathers and mothers and all of those who have stepped in and stood as parental figures in each of our lives. The impact they have made has been immeasurable, and it is an honor to celebrate them and the life and legacy they leave behind - found within us. It is also my pleasure to celebrate and honor our Presiding Prelate, Bishop Theodore L. Brooks Sr., and Lady L. Janice Brooks for their unwavering support, love, and prayers for our organization and for this publication.

ou spoke…we listened, and the results are in!! We’ve received glowing reviews of our NEW, plastic clearcoat packaging for our Christian Outlook magazines.

This new packaging not only allows for easier tracking and processing, but it also seamlessly protects your magazine and its contents during shipment. At the

Christian Outlook, we are always looking for new and innovative ways to better serve our subscribers, and this is just one more way we’ve strived to do just that. A special thank you to our LEADERS who have committed to going beyond their ministerial subscription of The Christian Outlook by ordering a subscription for their ministry. We’ve heard the testimonies from those who have shared the Outlook in nursing homes, prisons, barber shops, nail salons and other public locations. These great leaders have consistently helped to push this great magazine forward, and we are grateful for their commitment. And, because of the support of our yearly supporters and you our readers, we were able to increase our sales and distribution by 50 percent in 2021. We’re looking forward to another amazing year of spreading the Gospel around the world via The Christian Outlook magazine. Thank you to Bishop Ira Combs Jr., D.D. and the Northern District Council (NDC) and Bishop Donnie N. McGriff, Sr. and the California District Council (CDC) for their support and allowing us to share information and updates during their March Councils.

Thank you to Evangelist Mona Thomas-Green, who heads our Adopt-A-Soul program. Every other month, The Department of Publications sends literature to over 75 prisoners via the Adopt A Soul Program. And, thank you to those who have sent in donations to the program. (You can read more about the Adopt A Soul program on page 48.) Within these pages filled with challenges and triumphs, it is my earnest hope that you are motivated by the powerful testimony of Suffragan Bishop Parker and the Y leadership pursuits of Minister Omar Thompson, that you find financial wisdom from the words of Sis Lanore Grantham, and that you are inspired by the life, love and legacy of our very own, First Lady L. Janice Brooks. As we transition into what God brings, “We have heard the promise, we have positioned ourselves for the promise, and now we are commanded to Walk in the Promise of God. Now is the time for us to encourage ourselves in the Lord, knowing that we will see the fulfillment of every promise that He has made, no matter what comes our way. Blessings, Evang.
