Formed in 1989 from a 5 a side team Cheltenham Town LFC started life as Cheltenham YMCA in the South West Combination League.

2000/01: League runner-up
2007/2008: Runners up in SWWFL
2008/2009: The club reached the Vitality Women’s FA Cup Third Round for the first time as well as finishing the GFA County Cup as runner-up
July 2009: New committee formed and junior managers appointed
2009/2010: First and Reserve teams, plus newly formed junior teams, entered. Umbro Fives finalists at Wembley
2013/2014: First Team join the FA Women’s Premier League (Now FA Women’s National League).
2014/15: GFA County Cup runner-up
2016/17: GFA County Cup winners
2017/18: GFA County Cup runner-up
2018/19: GFA County Cup winners. First Team and Development Team both record their highest ever league finishes. The club is named as one of three winners of Respect Club Of The Year.
2020/21: Reached the Vitality Women’s FA Cup Third Round Proper for only the second time in the club’s history.
2021/22: Crowned FA Women’s National League Division One SouthWest Champions. First Team reached the semi-finals of the FA WNL Plate. GFA County Cup winners.
